you know I'm using cheap speakers just to make sure listener will hear same sound as me.
I'm using mono/reference/pink noise/ms/mb processing to make sure everything ok and it's should be enough

I disable the webcam monitor. But the rest is very functional.

Why is that exactly? do you dislike the standard v4 curve for your 712?

Tried Morphit on the Samson SR850s on the Superlux setting. Adds a nice amount of bass boost.

Yea. I checked it again, might be too much, i dont think its the right preset, something not right.
Found out 60% is the best setting for my k712.

I think all in all samsons are good for mixing if you know them well. Imo apart from the hyped upper mids and highs they are still balanced and neutral.
Still use them for listening to heavy metal and as a 2nd HP reference, very revealing.

Man you should try the morphit with Goodhertz Can Opener. Sounds very realistic. Even better than the Redline Monitor imo.

@Von_Steyr, do you dislike the standard soundworks v4 curve for your headphone? I didn't understand why you said you would have to send in your headphones to get an accurate response...

I am satisfied with morphit . Some of the mid range mud disappears and more clarity appears, you get a pretty clear picture from top to bottom.
Redline monitor is useful as well, mimicks speakers quite well, though i have it bypassed most of the time.
    Thanks for mentioning goodheartz @devilorcracker

Yea, im done with sonarworks, never tried v4 only v3 , dont need it.

Are you satisfied with your k702 and sonarworks? Are you satisfied with the results, that is all that matters?
Might want to get a "grot box" to improve your mixes.

I don't know yet what i am satisfied with, but a mix done with sonarworks mimics the sound i hear in my room from my speakers better than morphit. Morphit seems way too low on the bass. However I don't know which is more accurate.

My car is my grot box. I really have bad acoustics in my house for even a grot box to be measured objectively. Need to move i guess.

Do your mixes translate well to other systems, thats what is all about.
K702 and k712 differ quite a lot, definitely not just about the 3db bass boost.

Then get small speakers like the adam a3x. Smaller speakers are a lot less affected by room problems.

I've only ever owned krk rokit rp6. Maybe it too is time to get rid of those. Thanks for all your suggestions.

I might have to try to do a mix on the old M-Audio BX-5's I was using before I got my KRK 8's. See where I land with them.
