I was doing some research on nylon acoustic guitars and I need to make a decision between Acou6tics and Ilya Efimov Nylon.
Which guitar is the most realistic between these two?

why just these two? check out Indiginus - Renaxxance, it's very decent to my taste.

To get realism you can layer your own acoustic guitar recordings over sampled. This will get your much more realism and feelings, but you need to process them equally to bring the unity

 

to do that , you have to record it in good conditions ....room , mic , soundcard , a good guitar & player....

Wait, @Jeen amplesound do a nylon guitar?! What's it called? I use AGM all teh time, and it's great, but nylon is well.. better >___> I mean.. different <___< sounding...

imo MusicLab guitars sound nicer than AmpleSound ones, worth checking both if you can ;)

 

Don't know the best. But you can't go wrong with Orange Tree Samples.

 

I am a acoustic guitar player and teacher and have been playing guitar for over 40 years, both nylon and steel strings.
I have watched and listened to all the suggested VSTi above and this is my view:
- Virtual Guitarist: the least realistic of all (not surprisingly the 2 demos are drowned into all sort of other instruments.
- Orange Tree Samples: some very nice sounding presets (some not so convincing) all usable.
- Real Guitar: might be ok in a busy rock orientated mix. The solo nylon guitar patch has a very obvious MIDI feel to it.
- Ample Guitar: not bad at all. Very good in fact, at least the nylon guitar which is the 1 I've listened to.
Very realistic sounding indeed. I am surprised!!! Be careful with eq and compression (if you use any) because the top end might give its MIDI origin away (synthetic edge but only on the top end, more so on first string above 7th fret) but could be fine in a busy mix.

 

The best sounding sample based OR VST acoustic guitar I have heard, is the one in omnisphere!

 

I've ALWAYS said MusicLab Real Guitar is the best one, but last week I was fiddling around with Omnisphere and I came across one that was better. The problem is, it's not listed under guitars for some reason and i cant seem to find it again. It's a mystery.

 

@Sylenth: Have you tried searching for "guitar"?

My current, very subjective rating:
1. Amplesound AGL (no real weaknesses for my taste, excels at fast successive strumming)
2. Orange Tree Evo Modern Nylon (slight advantage over Indiginus for strumming)
2. Indiginus Renaxxance (slight advantage over OTS for overall sound)
3. Efimov Nylon Guitar (great strumming but slides sound a bit unnatural)
4. Real Guitar (small, very flexible, but not the most authentic imho)
