    Brown notes? Wow!
I didn't even know they made headphones that could reproduce the brownish notes.

I've quickly tested Fetish (Free 1176 plugin) and Brutus (One knob limiter). I'm definitely keeping the 1176, not sure about the limiter. I'll test it further for some parallel stuff, but i'm not impressed with it so far, i doubt i will find a use for it. 1176 sounds good and looks awful. Killer combination.
    Thx for the tip.

    Hey brother,

    His stuff sounds great indeed.

This guy is fairly new to this business and he's using a simple, but very precise approach, which is to actually model his plugins using SPICE (technical electronics modeling software) and then compiling them into plugins.

This method is cool because SPICE has gone a long way in terms of component modeling. It's really precise nowadays.

Anyway, although his plugins still lack polish, like universal input/output controls, proper working VUmeters and this kind of stuff, I also think he's got a bright future ahead.

By the way, be careful with his filter plugin. It really bumps the low end. It's got curves of its own...Not just a regular filter. Sounds great, though.

    Cheers,

    R.

PS: If anyone wants to try a nice, real time ASIO capable SPICE program, you'll have a lot of fun with this one. You can model pretty much any circuit: http://www.livespice.org

Thanks for the info bro. This guy has indeed a bright future ahead. Have noticed it bumps the low end but not a problem for me as there are ways to fix that if necessary.
I dont care about the gui, sure its nice to look at a plugin but its the sound we are after.
What i like about this guy is he is cool and calm, no hype in his selling strategy like with many other companies.
The guy came from nowhere and delivers like a boss.

No not the headphones alone, the fllter transformed shit into a decent hue of brown.

    Those resonant peaks are sweet.

Well, SPICE is just a term. There are many SPICE software, just like there are many CAD software...I'm not sure which one comes with MathLab.

If you want to go through all the trouble, I guess you could rout it to your DAW using something like JackAudio...

And many component models. It's just modeling software, a simulator; like Call of Duty is a war simulator, IL 2 Sturmovik is a flight simulator, & Sims is a life simulator. Caveat: Don't attempt to invade a neighboring country & set up housekeeping based on the learningz gleaned from those sims :|

I just gave these a short Spin and heres my Opinion only ok lol >>> Fetish Comp very good >fast attack and very good control over drums with retaining the transients response >>> gives good punch to my drums so im impressed with this comp forsure... The Filter sounds good on drums at 45 but has a huge bump in this area adding punch that may be desirable for some so on drums i can see its useful >>> i didnt like it on Guitars tho i used the Highpass and LowPass on some real Guitar tracks and like the Highpass bump the Lowpass has huge bump wen i set too 8000 gave my guitars to much shrill >>>had more highs after the fact lol... setting to 4000 was way to much an changer phase to much compared to my AA filters i use they are smooth as butter haha >>> but thats just my personal feelings on the filter >>> it sounds good on drums tho so \m/ i love the Comp but not the Filters so much >>> still very good for free plugs im sure He will only improve with time and his prices are very fair i think \m/
