Now imagine these future big updates like 5.60, 5.70, 5.80... and not so small which are between them. But what 6.0 will bring to us? And what the posterior 6.x will bring? Probably Reaper is a very PRO and most stable DAW ever.
IMHO 6.0 will be released in 2019, or in the end of 2018

Yeah fully agree  Functionality, ease of use and value for money is top drawer.
DEV's attitude & work-rate is immense also & so refreshing to witness in this day & age
Also love the policy with future updates and in my own opinion is worth way more than the asking price in my own opinion when compared to comparable competitor products.
    Can't praise highly enough :yes::bow:

Hope they integrate true VCA or at least that their VCA workaround works now like a real VCA because earlier VCA wasn't acting as it should be, no LED meter etc... if I recall correctly but I know that their VCA thing wasn't fully implemented. Unless I'm behind and they fixed it already

You do realize you immortalized the link you were trying to get rid of by quoting the previous post, right? Besides, you triggered that response post by bragging about something not really brag worthy, so...

But yeah, some people just can't follow directions. Way to ruin it, other Reaper users.

    "immortalized"...how poetic.

    it's clean now.

the bragging interpretation is yours. you can keep it.

Reaper is amazing. For the price, for the logical ways it does things & for the depth there's nothing to touch it. There are a few quirks that make it difficult for ppl (idiots) like me to just jump straight in & use w/o RTFM. If you were to make an uber-DAW (Franken-DAW?) out of all the best bits of all the DAWs, most of it would be from Cubendo & Reaper.

This version took a while to release I think Justin was trying to fix as many bugs as he could.

Agreed, this version took many, many beta versions to come to the final.
Devs surely had hard work, making Automation Items really happen without minimal bugs in Reaper.
I installed 5.50 official release today on my macbook retina, osx 10.12.6.
As expected, it just flies for me (as it always has done since version 3) and the Automation Item functionality is utterly amazing imho.

    Cockos Rocks !

What I find interesting is that the file offered on reaper.fm has the same filename as the one on lando
    reaper550c_x64-install.exe

Which is odd, as the files on lando comes with as is notice:
Also no linux build showed up yet on reaper.fm
