You bought it to use it, so you might as well use it.
Any other laptop you get will wear out just as fast more or less.

You can do some things to mitigate / minimize the chance of things going sideways, but you are in the hands of a random distribution of factors most of which are outside of your control. Use your computer gently, use it well and have mechanical sympathy, outside of that what ever happens happens.

yeah its old but years newer than Apple hardware. When Apple comes up with new hardware we have even newer standard PC parts. Essentially Apple also uses regular parts and bundle them nicely ya know

Sorry, I was referring to MacBooks, should've written that
You're right about the slow CPUs, they somewhat defeat the idea of using a Mini for anything serious except cases where you don't need a Mac at all :dunno:

    > Anything is working properly even with Custom Mac's if you choose the parts which are supported by macOS out of the box.
You're not talking about MBP, are you?
Hackintosh is not for everyone, although some here like to suggest this.

    > I'd rather have 2 x 1TB SSD (or more) in my case than a cute touch bar :)
    Yes of course!

    > But hey... anything good, peace

    > But if they continue charging insane prices and do not let us the choice
    > (I want an SSD not an fusion drive and not a high-power super duper
    > high priced PCI SSD) I stay where I am
Apple have never been known for really giving us the choice lately.
