How to get this Vocal Effect?

    There is a background vocal throughout these songs that pitches and I think is super amazing. However I'm not sure if its a formant bend or something else. I need help!

    In the first track it sounds like the voice in the background is just pitched down and slightly high passed.
    But i think you're right with the second track.. sounds like a formant modulation starting at 2:32

    You can use plugins like QuikQuak Pitchwheel or Antares Throat to achieve this.. you can download a trial version to test it.
    But also NI Kontakt has this formant function.
