Hi, I'm looking for the lead sound from Brooklyn bounce progressive attack at 1.42

I also like the basscut in this at 1.42 , I think I have a similar basscut taken from a melbourne bounce sample pack but I'm not sure what automation I'm supposed to put on it to make it pump, I have seen people remake songs where they have the volume going up and down but I haven't done it for myself yet so I'm not sure.

PL Pizza Cult in Nexus. And for sure a pizzicato preset in Roland JP8000 (some other Rolands have it, don't know which other)

Hi, Peter Krav, thanks for your help, I've been meaning to learn how to use sidechaining, will have to look at another video again . By looking for the lead sound, I meant a preset on a synth emulator that would be the same as the one used in the video.

Hi Jayxflash, I looked at PL Pizza Cult in Nexus , it sounds similar to a good extent, I doubled the nexus track and put Valhalla reverb on it to try and get it to sound similar(like a massive anthemic sound) and fruity chorus also but it sounds kind of thinny or cheap. Possibly because I don't know how to get it to sound right. Thanks for your help.

It's exactly that. Same sound as Faithless' Insomina. Roland JP8000 was very popular in that decade.

What you can do, is layer another pluck from nexus maybe cut off the highs and give hime spike just to have a powerful innitial transient. Then Add more reverb to Pizza Cult - you can try the onboard reverb at 65-80 - so really drowned, it's a really good reverb that one (a custom made Arts Acoustic). Then compress it so the tail stands out more.

There is no way you can't get that sound if you already have that nexus preset.

PS: while doing some sound adjustments in solo, it's very important to have the rest of the song playing because you know what's happening? You tend to build a massive sound in solo only to cut half of it when you're mixing in with the rest of the song otherwise it will not blend.

I don't really know how it is called, but the lead of those 90s can be found in factory presets of Sonic Academy ANA, look through all the categories, banks and you will find this preset. It is called something like Coffee At The Ocean, or Coffee At The Sea or so.
Small changes and you are there. Initially it is already there, 90s pizzi lead, but small changes lead to nuances and variations... I used ANA only because of this preset only, really, I like this pizzi lead, and no any sound I can do with this. So, if you want all these variations of pizzi lead, ask me, I will send you a couple of presets and you can use this as starting point

BTW, Brooklyn fucking Bounce is one of the projects I liked to listen to and started to make EDM after. Listened to them since 2001 up to 2006 or so. They were a really fucking powerful and cool EDM project of those times. They also had a project called 666. Fucking devil Brooklyn bounce side project... Progressive house, they called it so... Yeah....I was a little teen... Times..

You're not the only one :-P I was a fan of German hardtrance late 90's/early 00's. But as far as I know BB (Club Tools, Dance Division) and 666 (House Nation) were projects from different producers. The info on discogs should also be correct. Not that it's a big deal btw. I saw BB once 'live' in the local club (without dj set from Bonebreaker), they had each week a popular act like Dance Nation and D-Devils. It was a fun time.

Ah wait a minute, maybe you meant only this release?

Hi mild pump milk, I looked at that setting (coffee at the sea: leads) in ana, it sounds really cool, if you could send me on the settings that would be sweet, my email is [email protected]. Cheers
