Hello,

I'm having a hard time getting this to work. All my manually added libraries show up fine in 5.6.5, but as soon as I load 5.6.8 around 34 of them vanish! (I'm on a Mac, not that that should cause a problem)

It's the same issue with the standalone, AU and VST versions.

I was wondering if there is some trick to getting them to show up in the new version? I'll list them here in the hopes that someone can let me know a few of the SNPID numbers that work for them - perhaps the ones I've chosen are the issue...

Weirdly, Orchestral Tools Berlin Strings (main library), 8Dio CAGE Woodwinds and Spitfire Evo Grid 1 do show up in 5.6.8, but their related libraries do not.

I'm banging my head against a brick wall here! O.o

From your catalog i have three libraries ,shown well on my kontakt 5.6.8, before i had kontakt 5.6.6 installed on my mac, plus the libraries and i installed the update 5.6.8, what i am saying is ,maybe, you try to install the 5.6.6 and leave the 5.6.5
Then the next problem is that i can't load libs with the new update and i have to install again the 5.6.6 to load libs there and actually play them on the 5.6.8, he he he ,well i didn't get it there yet
But no worries ,you will find a solution if you search or someone more educated will place the answer for ya,

Not official NI endorsed libraries, they have custom made nicnt files to make them appear in libraries tab when they're not kontakt player libraries, it's against the EULA and NI have finally cracked down on these with the 5.6.8 kontakt update. Just add them to quick load instead and delete the custom made nicnts and wallpapers it's much faster to navigate in quick load anyway

Weird I'm at 5.6.8 and I have all my library's showing I load with 5.66 and in the daw 5.6.8

 

just want to know if you have change permissions on those libs ???
if not try to type in terminal ...
sudo chmod -R 755 type space and drag and drop your lib folder , hit enter and type your passwd ...
something like this example:
sudo chmod -R 755 /Volumes/data1000/your folder

 

I tried that on one of my library folders. It still doesn't show up in 5.6.8. Also tried to remove and re-add the library to no avail.

I had the same problem. This is happening because of the update - the Native access. libraries which dont have the native access will not show in Kontakt. to get rid of this problem,firstly go to your vst folder and copy the kontakt 5.6.8 version dll files somewhere else. uninstall the 5.6.8 version and then install the 5.6.5 or whatever previous version you have. Then just rename those 5.6.8 version dll files and copy them in your vst folder. keep both version's .dll files. then open 5.6.5 and add all the libraries. they will be shown automatically in 5.6.8 version. remember do not install 5.6.8 if you havent bought it.

Why don't you use 5.7 portable version?
It's right there on sister site.

Not sure how to fix, but at a quick glance my Spitfire Hz02 Los Angeles shows up in the library tab. Not sure why yours doesnt and mine does lol. Sorry couldn't be of help

 

can this v5.6.8 and just use that other v5.7 'standalone' edition that was released a few weeks ago on the sister site, i also did have annoying 'activation' problems witt the prior versions; now no problems at all and the installation is fairly easy. it sees all libraries immediatly, everything works.

 

You won't succeed in Ableton this way, because Ableton doesn't support two versions of the same .DLL. Instead you'll need to add the libs with a Kontakt Version prior to 5.6.8 standalone and leave only the 5.6.8 version in VST folder.
(And isn't it the same in Cubase!?)
