    Great video :winker:

I had to rewind and listen again with my screen closed to cut the distraction and concentrate on the music.
The overall sound is well balance to my ears though i disliked the pumping effect in general in this era of over-compression.
I also think the peace is a little long and repetitive.
But in conclusion, I liked it. The cello brings a special character to the style.

P.S. I agree with the comment about putting more female vocal on the track.

ask yourself why you are sidechaining on a constant level....you have the answer to what is wrong with the track from a technical point of view. don't worry, I am not going to comment on it from the perspective of composition, just the technical side of things. Soundwise it really is over-compressed and the lack of any dynamics in the production will cause a fatigue when you listen to it more than once, that's definitely not what you would want from a producer's point of view, you'd like people to have your song on a constant repeat. Even when you listen to this song on a cheapshit set of headphones or on a smartphone, you instantly hear that things are outof proportion, productionwise. Pull back a few knobs and faders....it feels like someone is shouting down the ear and that will not get the attention you desire, I can tell you.

The track is perfect for a spa or a hotel promo. And where is the punch on the kick? That kick is weak. You think you can distract us with all the asses and tits? You are right. But without those... ah jeez you want only the roast for the mixing and mastering. You know what? I turned off the video and the track sounds overcompressed. The kick is not a good kick and bassline sounds like it's being played from someone's ass. It's crushed and dying and half whispering half screaming "please kill me". The mix was probably alright but you fucked it up in mastering, although you never know.

I don't think that's the problem. We are referring to the pumping caused by over-compression, not sidechaining. This is not caused by how we listen to it.

I can only repeat what has been said before. The song is over-compressed to death, which is a shame. It deserves to breathe and will catch listener's attention a lot more that way. I don't see the kick as an issue, it fits to the more laid back style. But the cello especially needs to be treated with respect, currently it has to fight against everything else. As a carpet flowing over the rest it would be so much more impressive. And a totally personal, subjective opinion: The congas are uninspired and rather boring. Almost like a stereotype: "Hey we need more tropical feeling. Ah, let's put in some congas."

In the end I am convinced that this track would be awesome with just those few changes in arrangement and mix.

We will definitely check our compressors and ease them a lot.
    Thanks again!

Not a pro but just wanted to say I enjoyed the track and all the real instruments blended together. I think they could have been used more imho. I like the voices as well

you might want a radio/cut version if you don't already have one.
i know the track is supposed to be loud and strong, but even my poor shitty ears can hear a bit of "pumping" caused by compression/limiting whatever.

    cheers good luck

The cello has certainly mild compression so a few dbs upshift do you think it will do?
Our intention was exactly to flow over a pumpy heavy Deep House bassline to make that contradiction and the blend of "musical cultures" we were after.

The "congas" are eastern percussion (don't know if are congas at all) taken from samples cd so no programming from our side but we really do like them and point straight to M. East musical culture we're after.

Thank you so much for your feedback!

As said before we're scheduling some remixes (vocal, radio, club) that's why we put all you kind people to give us your feedback and advice to an otherwise published track!
Thank you very very much for your consideration!

Maybe too much clap for my taste and too narrow rhythm section but there's nothing really wrong in the mix.
The bassline seems a bit too low in the mix or at least lacks of definition on mid range to make it more punchy, but nothing wrong at all.
The video...well, the same obvious video with chicks and sea like a tour operator spot!

Sounds like a good track with a few adjustments. Excuse my ignorance, but not much melody needed for this genre?

Don't you hear an unwanted pumping due to over compression as quoted by others?

The track is all about summer, sea, vacations. chilling that's why the video clip is the way it is my friend!

    Thank you for your feedback!

    Sorry we didn't quite understand.
You say we have more melodic lines or less than needed?

What we like to do, like the old Alchemists, is to blend genres that are usually not blended by other producers and come up to something new and fresh.

So do your comment about the melody regardless the genre you are feeling this track belongs to.

    Thank you for your feedback
