Anyone who knows how to create the pluck from 0:00 to 0:16, preferably in Serum?

 

I love that song. I am a big fan of Owl City. He has inspired my music since 2007 (I was one of his myspace followers, and I even got to meet him once. Great guy, very relatable yet so unique in personality).
As for the pluck, I know Owl City uses Nexus2 a lot for plucks. He usually uses triangle/sine for the wave of the plucks. However, this is more of a saw/square wave pluck. Those plucks can be obtained from a Sylenth1 pack from Freshly Squeezed Samples called "Sunny Lax Sylenth1 Essentials". There are I think 3 different volumes. You can grab them all from the sister site. If you can't find them there, then go to demonoid and torrent it. If you wanna buy it, go to http://freshleysqueezedsamples.com and search for "Sunny Lax". You may have to adjust the cutoff on some of the plucks to make them sound exactly like THAT sound in the song you provided.
I have an Access Virus TI Snow analog synthesizer and it has a lot of Owl City-like presets in there. However, Access Virus synths will cost you upwards from $900.

After looking at the Sylenth1 preset, I tried to recreate the sound in Serum. This is the closest I've come to the pluck so far.

 

by listening, the first thing that came to my mind was "Impressive"
i listened through his Soundcloud couple times, good stuff

this is interesting, hehe
