There is no "best", as "best" is subjective.

There are so many good reverbs and delays. It's usually not what delays and reverbs you use, but how you tweak, process and mix them (to make it fit/complement the vocals/song).

Google "Abbey Road Reverb Trick", ducking/sidechain compression, etc.

Agree with baxter but again you have to use that reverb which is suitable to your needs and also suitable on your cpu. i tried reverb which are so good with vocals but only one instance of them is capable to fry your cpu

Call me lazy, but 90% of the time I get results from a combination of Waves CLA Vocals and Greg Wells VoiceCentric. Or maybe I've used them so much that I can make them work for me.

Do you use send for reverb or you use waves on every mixer channel

My apologies but I am surprised to see people still replying to this type of post buddy. There are at least a zillion of forum topics all over the internet related to your question. It really is not a good idea to post the same question for the zillion and first time, while instead you can do a quick research that will give you the answer in like 5 mins. Best regards.

Actually, I most of the time treat vocals like an electric guitar with a pedalboard. Therefore, those plug-ins act like a multieffect stamp box. CLA Vocals has EQ, delay, reverb, and compressor, and they are very characterful. VoiceCentric has a doubler, delay and reverb, and it adds character as you drive it. It has some kind of compressor that acts behind the scenes reacting to the input signal. That's a lot in two plugins: 2 reverbs, 2 compressors, two delays. If the vocals lack character, they're the ticket without the hassle of sends and aux busses. If they need to be clean and intimate, I'd remove CLA and turn on/off the effects in VoiceCentric to maintain vocal integrity, which is subtler than CLA. Please consider that I track through either UAD Neve 88Rs or UA 4710d pres, and I record wet with the compressor engaged, kind of old school. Additionally, I have global reverbs and delays for glueing the whole mix and adding space, like everybody else. I use those busses to sit the vocals in the mix or move things from the center spot to leave space for them, but VoiceCentric and CLA add the vocal flavor.

    Here's another use:

Last night I multitrack-recorded this rehearsal with my band. I had to put out a video for followers to see as promo for the show this Saturday. I had to throw a quick mix and I used CLA only on the vocals. BTW, I'm the bass player.

Every known vstcompany has a reverb thats is useable today.
Vallaha is super cheap for the quality you get!

Waves H reverb is really great but a cpu hog. Breverb is defenatly nice. No reason if you own it why you should not use it.

Don't be. You've just stumbled upon a place where people trust what they have to say over lots of misguided or commecially-biased information on the web. On the plus, we are the odd site where almost every question gets responded to with a warm heart. :mates:

I use sends. I send a bit of the vocal to whatever I'm using (usually Altiverb lately) for the room space, and a send for delay, and a send for a vocal reverb. I like the Abbey Roads Plates. Just love a plate on the vocals, and that one is so lush. But really, it depends on the song, and the space I'm looking for as to what I'll use.
I hear that the Slate Verbs are pretty good too.
@mercurysoto, I used to use Nectar, then went to CLA Vocals, and they are dead simple to use, and give very good results. I researched vocal processing chains because I was interested in what was going on under the hood in these "all-in-one" plugs. I used this article as the basis for my vocal chain, and have never looked back:

    http://www.mixedbymarcmozart.com/20...-vocals-a-complete-tutorial-on-mixing-vocals/

The results from making your own chain are far superior to these plugs, IMO, because you can exactly tailor the sound to what the track requires.
I'll still use Nectar if I'm pinched for time (recording vocals and the performer is standing over your shoulder saying "let me hear what you've got").

Personally, I don't mind a question being repeated here on this forum because many times the discussion will wander off topic a bit, and you'll get some information that is relevant to the topic, but wouldn't have been shared if the poster had simply "googled first".

I totally feel you. Thanks for the heads up.

Yep. CLA is awesome for ear candy, too. Slap it in the insert slot, scroll a preset, and see the client smile.

The new reverb from Liquidsonics called Seventh Heaven - it's the Bricasti M7 Reverb and to me it is beautiful and at $69 it's a steal! Link:
    https://www.liquidsonics.com/software/seventh-heaven/

There's also the Slate Digital which recreates various other famous and fantstic reverbs and you can also download the Bricasti M7 IR's so it's Seventh Heaven plus a lot more.
