    Hello,

I like to use a lot of omnisphere libraries by plugin guru and other companies. Recently I loaded 4 patches into omnisphere 2, from "interstellar" preset library. My vienna usage went from 35% to 90% and grazing 100%, and I have no idea why. Not every patch does this, but many of my favorites across different companies do.

When I delete multi, everything is normal again. I have tested with other omnisphere stock presets and it's fine, is it just the coding of these libraries?

Omnisphere is on a 500gb ssd, tried going from crucial m4 to 850 evo but no difference there as I expected.

    Thanks!

Not sure but i can from what ive noticed over the years of using Omni some presets, no matter from a 3rd part company or Spectrasonics themselfes can kill pretty much anything.. if we talk multis.. even some single patches build on many effects and processing inside Omni puts my machine to work. Normally this behavior dont have much to do if you use a SSD or not.. Go into the multi and look at its single preset and try to turn off effects that dont do much to the sound in the overall mix.. but if you find any other way to make them run better, let me know..

    Yes

I thought the same thing, so removed all fx in both A/B, didn't change a thing. Very weird, not sure what's causing it, but I'm losing many great sounds.

Omnisphere can be a Cpu Hog but there are a few things you can check to reduce the Load
First in a Patch look at the Main and then check for the Voices count more voices = more Cpu demand reduceing will help Omnisphere can use up to 64 Voices
Check each layer of a Patch in A and B if Granular is turned on Granular is very Intensive on CPU
As Omnisphere`s concept is based not on use of Mulicore Cpu open up a second Omnisphere devide your Parts of the Multi in to the second Omnisphere
Hope that helps a bit

    cheers

Turned off all effects and granular effects on a 6 patch multi, dropped about 15% in Vienna meter. Thanks! Not as good as I want, and now I have to tweak them all over again with my own FX.

Next time I'll start from scratch.
