I have tried everything in old threads i am using mac and my fl studio is ran through wine it's the only way i could get it to work on my mac So i did the install in wine using the windows files, everything installed fine i updated the data i get no errors when i open omnisphere 2 just when i hit paste it just shuts the fl studio down

 

Try another DAW! I have this behaviour sometimes also on PC with Bitwig or IL Minihost.
Maybe try FL Studio 12 Native OS X ALPHA 0.9R [MAC]

 

it will crash 5 to 20 times keep trying it will work eventually happens everytime to me

 

!! Hi I have been all over this site trying to get to the bottom of this problem as well. I have found out recently that you must use a r2r tool because it has all been patched n won't work any truth to this as I have the entire vst installed and patched and still stuck any solutions !!!!??

What I mean is, did Omnisphere 1 work? If so, better that than nothing. After all, it's the finished article you''re concerned with, not what you use to get there. Most people will never use most of the features in 2 anyway.

 

I think it worked when I tried either running as administrator or in Reaper. Wouldn't hurt to try something like Minihost Modular.

Did you patch the two hidden .dll files in programdata folder / spectrasonics ?

 

I haven't tried omnisphere 1 i'll do that now

 

How did you get on with it?

OK here is my current situation because I have been all over these forums trying to find a solution to this problem. I tried numerous methods suggested within these forums only to still be stuck with an entire library just sitting, because the generated responses won't unlock the plugin. Any definitive advice would greatly be appreciated. I've tried uninstalling and retrying, deleting a specific .DAT file, and patching three separate omni dll's, all of which have failed. The only other methods I heard of are getting a r2r tool or installing omni V1 and patch upgrading any truth to either of these install methods if so PLZ end the suffering I beg you

 

My advice wasn't to install 2 at all, but if you could get version 1 working, at least you had omnisphere, and you can still do great things with it. The problem is you are on a mac, and I have never used one. The only thing I can suggest which I can guarantee will work, to dual boot windows on your mac. The downside to that is you will need to get alternate versions of everything else too.

I had omnisphere 2 for a while.. tried to install it way back and had problems with the pasting the code as well.. I gave up but the other day I decided to give it another go and installed it but still no luck... then re-installed it one more time and it worked.. now I don't know if it was the fact that I downloaded some other (I'm sure we shouldn't talk about it) stuff or the fact that I decided to try it in Reaper... I'm leaning towards using another DAW solved the problem.. as other's have said try another DAW.. reaper worked for me.

Ready to sit and give this a try using reaper and I need to do it fast cause I only have a demo. When I do the install is patching the other Omni dll's 4 in total needed? I need to know that if I uninstall my last unsuccessful attempt and complete all steps correctly and then patch thru reaper that it will work as I don't want to be stuck again plz help i'm really ready to start using this

 

U don't "patch thru reaper". U need 2:

install Omni 2.
Run R2R keygen (aka Spectrasonics 2048 keygen.)
Patch (keygen "patch" key on left) all Omnisphere2.dll files u can find on ur system.
Load Reaper.
Select Omni2 VSTi (from insert>virtual instrument...VSTi)
Get challenge code thing from Omni.
Copy / paste into keygen.
Generate key.
C/P key into Omni.
Close Reaper.
Reload Reaper.
Repeat from 4th step, if it fails / crashes.
