Make it less monotonous. Surprice me! Add lots of variation (dynamics, samples, automation, effects, melodically, arrangement-wise, layering, transitions, etc etc). It needs development/progression. Chord changes, melodies, harmonies, etc etc.
Just a simple thing like automating the tail (length) of the kick can do wonders. Adress length/decay/sustain to velocity or whatever and play around with it. That's a start.

This was just boring repetative crap.

 

thanks for the honesty and tips, i'm not so good yet at all these in depth things you mentioned, i do now quite some theory, but i still need to practice that in realtime. so i'll just keep practising and come up with something better. there's just something about that trap shit i can't get my hands around, it sounds so simple but i guess for me it isn't.
