This pioneer of the grunge scene just died unexpectedly at the age of 52.

 

Sad sad news.. was on stage just a few hours before he died.. one of the coolest voices out there.. sad sad ..

Don't know much about him or his music, but Black Hole Sun is quite amazing. First time I saw the video decades ago was quite a musical/visual shock.

One of my all time favorites. The shock when I first heard was immense. Between soundgarden, temple of dog, Audioslave & his solo work I can't pick a favorite. Still in shock honestly. Such a young age as well. Will be truly missed and upset never got a a chance to see him.

I saw the news at work and nearly cried when I read it. Completely in shock. Chris Cornell is one of my all-time favourite singers. His voice and emotion was just incredible.

Sad for his family. I couldn't stand the 90s meow band vocals, but aknowledge his contribution.

 

No no no noooo... this guys are too young. I remember when those "supergroups" were forming (also criticized by many vs Rage, SG..)

Well for us watching Morello doing his stuff with Chris on vocals was like a party on a spaceship

taken way too young. he was one of the best rock vocalists around. rest in peace, mr. cornell. apparently police are investigating it as a possible suicide.

The whole Euphoria morning is gold. Not mentioning SG, or any ohter project. listened this to a stolen cd when a kid for soo long. and been listening even that week

 

I'm at a loss. I loved his voice. I pray it wasn't suicide.
