    Here are the details :

WARNING - PRODUCT IN PUBLIC BETA! The Scream is an analog modeled stomp box distortion plug-in based on the classic green Tube Screamer pedal. It uses the same high quality algorithms used in circuit simulators, but optimised to run fast, and features a gorgeous fully scalable user interface. It is a full component model of the original, with Boyle macro modelled op-amps, and you can edit all component values in the circuit to customise your tone. Choose LEDs or Germanium diodes to create asymmetric clipping combinations, chain any number of diodes in series or even bypass them altogether and let the op-amp do the clipping - the possibilities are endless!

    It costs 29$.

Wow, will be real interesting to try this.
    Nice price also I guess.
Normally I'm not a huge fan of these sort of plugs but they have their uses for sure. Knowing Cytomic it will be quality as well. Tube screamer one of those must have pedals I reckon and they still hold up great against anything modern day.
Like the 808 mod as well and think they retail around $180ish.
Actually one of the best pedals I've ever tried is 808 & Keeley mod but they pricey at over $400 but such a great sound.
Thanks for the information on this as will be real interesting and look forward to checking this out

On gearslutz he posted some spectrums of original hardware compared with emulated, they are both almost equal, 1 to 1. So, he also said there on kvraudio forum that days ago he deeped into math and this goes toooo close to hardware and said his emulated is best than other stomp / pedals vsts he had ever used.
So, if it is so, it might be a revolution in emulation. Let's wait to see, hear and then judge.

Btw, go to gearslutz and watch there some pictures, there is so much options and features inside. It is not just 5 knobs and oversampling button. There are so much more. Deep adjustments, some complicated math formulas, options to choose germanium and other circuits etc etc etc

I added a big list of standard spice diode models, but things weren't sounding right with some of them - mainly to do with the non-linear diode capacitance terms, so yesterday I hit the math hard to get the diffusion (transit time) and junction diode capacitance terms sounding better, and had a eureka moment where I found a problem with what I was doing. Now everything is solving perfectly and it sounds awesome. There is a huge range of tones you can get just from changing a few diode parameters, it's very cool.

    Here is how it's looking:

And here is an example of how it can sound with a few basic mods from the mods edit page - first is dry, then stock ts-808, then mod:

    Andy Cytomic:
The Scream Beta is now available, and if you like it you can buy it for USD 29 [IMG]

It is an astounding little plugin, with an unprecedented level of detail and accuracy, and you can edit every component value in the entire circuit if you want to go nuts, or just use the easy edit page to select a bunch of different clipping diodes and main main tone filter caps from menus.

I'll spend the next couple of weeks fleshing out the release with audio examples, finishing the manual, and doing some presets, but I wanted to let people have a play as soon as possible with it so here it is!

Why everybody making same simulations of same devices every time? What a fuck!? Are we in 2017? Or in 2001?
Where freqbox, morphagene, kyma, culture vulture, esp 16+, vl-1 and K2600 simulations?

Yeah looks very cool indeed & 29 dollars :):):)
Real refreshing and a steal at that price with the sounds of how it holds up.
    Well impressed to be honest

I hear you on that but at the end of the day maybe it comes down to pricing, numbers they need to shift and what they are going to recoup.
Would be great to have a much wider range of good emulations etc mentioned but at the end of the day the name sells I guess :dunno:
People hear the words "Tube Screamer" & look at the price and instantly say i want one.
I guess they are looking at appealing to as broad a range as possible and also some of the gear is almost impossible to emulate.
Especially some of the time based effects etc. Some of them are real weak imo.
I suppose you have to be way into your specific gear to say I want a "????? simulation"
Say the magic words tube screamer and people come running and they possibly need to sell huge number to get back the investment.
I get what you mean though for sure

I started to learn c++ for that=) Culture Vulture pentode 2 mode is some kind of foldback distorion. I found c++ example for it, but I don't have experience for this kind of work and plugin development. Maybe somebody can help me (but for free of course)?

    Tube harmonic distortion unit??
Again, personally not a huge fan of tube emu's etc as they not got tubes lol but they for sure getting better all the time.
Possibly, If your new to DSP C++ framework etc I'd guess your gonna need to start with something a lot more simple than that but I gotta admire the ambition.
Culture Vulture already been done but unfortunately is UAD :-( Never used it but meant to be a cool as plug for harmonic distortion etc
Good luck with the project, sounds real interesting & hugely ambitious, nice one

God, I'm just gonna try not to think about this. I have so many distortions

    but it's only 30 bucks

but I have lots of great distortions that never get used

but I spend 30 bucks on pizza some weeks

    fuck

Everything Cytomics makes is top quality. I use glue in reaper (native in ableton) and drop all the time. I will probably be using this too Im sure
