Hi, I have a problem loading spitfire iceni library in Kontakt(MAC). Kontakt says after loading the library,

Your new Library needs to be added before this Instrument can be used. Please go to Kontakt's Libraries tab and press the Add Library button.

Using Kontakt ver 5.6.0

@Ritvik On Windows make sure you can see all hidden files, folders and drives and UNCHECK Hide protected operating system files
When you attempt to add the library you should see a file created on your desktop called sc3.temp
Rename this file 'Iceni.xml' and place it in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center

Alternatively, if the library is located on any drive other than C:\ move it to your C:\ and try to add it again.

Hi Mac Users.
I had a problem when I loaded a patch. It showed "'Your new Library needs to be added before this Instrument can be used.
Please go to Kontakt's Libraries tab and press the Add Library button" !

I've found a solution on MAC:

Just you should find two .nkc and .nkr files in subfolders of that library you have problem with it and then copy them to Root folder of that Library .So xcept folders like Instruments, Samples, Multis and..., you have three files in root library folder:
1- nicnt file
2- nkc file
3- nkr file
and now add your library in kontakt again! Enjoy it!
(in my case (Projectsam Swing!) this two files were in "Samples" folder.)

If anyone has a problem with any of the Kontakts Library's disappearing for example in the ProjectSam Symphobia Library's here's the fix... I've found a solution for my problem of the library's disappearing and another issue where the Kontakt would give me that strange error after installing a library when you try to play a sound its give that error "your new library needs to be added before the instrument can be used." This solution has fixed both problems...
Here's my video explaining how the .nicnt of the sample library needs to match the .xml file associated with it...

Theres a full description in the youtube video. Took me 2 days to figure it out. Hope this helps my Symphobia friends and other Kontakt users.

 

Hey i see that you guys are very helpful on this site, so kudos to you! I been having a same issue similar issue with my Spitfire Icen loading in Kontakt. I tried the steps that's been posted, but I haven't had any luck. I get the message "You need add your new library blah blah blah" but it everything shows up like it will work until I try to actually load up an instrument. The xml file came inside with all the other files, but it doesn't automatically go to the Service Center folder like my other ones nor does it work when i move it to the Service Center folder. I did notice i was missing the nicnt file though. But i aslo noticed not all my Kontakt instruments had this file, but still works so my mind is boggled! Pls help if you can, I would greatly appreciate it!

 

Please, how I can make the Kontakt Factory 5 content work? Because every time I try to open the library I get the same message: "Your new library needs to be added before this instrument can be used....". and this thing happens only for this specific library. Thanks!

For mac users: when you create the nicnt file, apparently the name is essential. In this particular case Iceni.ncint

Other naming variants (like Spitfire Iceni.ncint) will result in errors.
