    Tried to use the recent R2R release of waves and it failed out, tried every workaround possible I could think of, reverted back to the Oct 2016 R2R, had a few failures and ended up getting it going proper again. Think I did a rough job but was getting a few 9.6dll errors and ended up just removing those dlls and got ableton to run with everything visible and loading up proper. So had a problem with newest R2R, used the Oct 2016 R2R had a small issue, got it figured out now all is well.

    V.R. It is not a competition, but the V.R. patch works on the Waves plugins before they even release, and even more that you can choose what you want to install in the central waves instead of installing 1000 useless plugins.

    Sorry guys but where did you find a full release from V.R similar to R2R:
    I can only see some +/- 3 GB archive from R2R but nothing similar from V.R... What gives?

    I tried R2R's latest (20/04) on Windows but there's no option to select which plugins you wish to install, unless I missed something.

    When I installed Waves Complete v2016.07.11, it worked pretty well. No problems during installation.

    I don't know about the latest ones, that's why I asked but the one I installed last time had the option.

    I love Sound Forge, even though it is still 32bit. However this is going to change. Magix has recently asked the users to write what they want for the next version of SF and of course 64bit is on everybody's request. Same goes for Acid Pro which hasn't seen a new version in a whopping 7 years (apart for some bugfixes).

    What do you mean? V.R. gives just a patch. You roll your own offline installation, which is +- 3,6 GB if you select all. Or do you mean something else.. :unsure:
    @stevejobs.haha
    I think there is no super-easy-way to install separate plugs with R2R, but I may be way off. By logic you can always delete things afterwards..

    yeah, deleting their resource folder is the only option (Just checked the latest version installation. No option for selecting individual plugs, previous ones had this option like V9.3)

    Well if that IS the case, I can wipe out the need for 32 bit versions of any plugin. That would be much better. I look forward to that.

    Do you mean that you download the whole +/- 3 GB archive directly from Waves, then apply V.R patch on the selected plugins?

    I think you don't even have to dl the whole 3+ Gigs. With the help of Waves central you choose what you want and then prepare an OFFline installer pack (yes, at some point you have to dl what you want). Then again with Waves central you install what you've prepared and patch. In fact I'm 98.7 % sure that is the main difference between the two methods: with V.R. you can choose only one product for the install. With R2R there is all or nothing..

    You haven't noticed that R2R often release the same thing V.R released, often just hours or a day afterwards? I think they release some plugins just because V.R or some other group released it. Well, that gives us more choice of cracked versions, but sometimes it makes me wonder if they would release it at all if other groups didn't release it. :(

    Or does R2R does the job and V.R. manage to put their hands on it before they release it ??? ... !!! forcing R2R to release it ?
    I dont't know and don't really care.
    All i'm saying is, in my experience, R2R releases never gave me problems ( compared to other teams release that did)
    In my early days, i must have been the problem myself (of course i was), but at one point, it was others team releases that gave me problems.
