Does anybody know if an purchased expansion works on another computer with another Avenger license?
I want to create a preset set with selfmade presets and some modified of an expansion. After that I wanna use them on the other PC. Are the expansions or its presets linked to my Avenger license that only I can use them?

Hi Michael! Thanks for your reply! I think Manuel only explains how to create a custom preset pack in this video. But do you know if for instance a preset from the EDM expansion (or the whole expansion) works on another computer with another Avenger license?

 

for whole exp i don't know.
but i belive if u make presets with the exp edm it's supposed to work .
like manuel said that u can make your own exp and sell them.

@twoheart: Hi. At checkout it says that the product will be licensed to my name. This is written under Deliver Adress. So I think that the expansions are in any kind watermarked with my name or bundled with the license of Avenger. Please correct me, if I' wrong.

 

I don't know about Avenger...I have this synth but I don't use nor have I bought any expansions for it.
But I do have metrum also by vengeance and the expansions aren't linked to an account, or watermark or whatever. They are all available on the sister site and they work perfectly with my legit metrum. But metrum is elicenser so maybe it's different, although quit frankly I doubt it.
I have no doubt that avenger is well protected, I have doubts regarding the expansions...

 

I just bought the Psy expansion. After payment I got the download code for the zip file and a confirmation with an activation code to register the expansion. I've imported the exp without registration, but it works anyway.
The question is, why should I register the expansion?

 

AFAIK you registered the ext. with your purchase already.
You'll need the activation code on register.vps-avenger.com to download the extension (I my case the ext. wasn't sent via mail, so I needed to activate the download link (not the extession on my pc)
Argument for registration is e.g. to be entitled for possible future updates etc.

 

This whole question of this "registering/authoring" thing devides in -at least- three parts:
1. Is it legitimate to distribute a copyrighted material to others
2. Is the material technically bound to a computer or serial of the underlying software
3. Is the material watermarked, so that I could be identified as the "provider".

For the first question it's easy: NO
2. You can import extensions, legit bought or not, without entering any Auth codes or something.
3. I don't think so. First of all, I bought an extension and the file size (up to the byte) and -date is the same, regardless if you buy or share it. Second, it's quite expensive to buy the technology used for watermarking, esp. if you see the low price of the extensions. That would't pay up for Vengeance.

BUT: Now you are legit, why don't you stay?

Many thanks so far! Yes I bought it, so it's legit. I think sharing modified presets of an expansion can't be forbidden.

The exp is really nice. The good Thinge is, that it has a lot of presets (268). 100 of them are arps and it has many sequences on top. It's interesting in learning how the sounds are build. Negative is that some sounds (not many) are very quite. I recognized that all these sounds have the filter activated in FX1. But this is in the main library of Avenger, too.
