still miss the independent pattern clips length, and the patterns in patterns concept in FL



as u can see around the red rectangle, for ex. scene 2-4 can be independently triggered and clips in them have independent length

And why access to that "groups" is organized via menu? Why no visual folder? Where's negative track delay? Where's ghost notes across all channels? Where's ability to manually type value in automation point? Where's proper preview in browser with scroll option? Where's proper pdc? Where's proper freeze feature? Where's fades god damn it? Who needs this next visual bullshit? They need to stop this crap, take best things they did (maximus and vocodex) and build a completely new proper daw without "make unique" bullshit.

I agree there are so many core issues they need to fix, instead of this unnesessary workflow bs. There are so many broader use cases that they dont ever seem to pay attention to, its stupid.

 

The piano roll and the synths (Harmor, Harmless, Sytrus etc) are some of the best. The rest of the DAW is crap.

 

all you have to do is go up to the magnet and select "none" instead of "main" or "cell".

then you can put it wherever you want, free of cell locking. I program drums this way and it makes humanizing way better.

 

We are in 2017 and still do not implement a proper freeze feature

 

Freeze, please.

 

Edit: I posted a long rant about IL neglecting their VST customers, decided this isn't the thread for it. New features look cool I guess. Enjoy your conversation. I'll be over here stewing about IL's shitty treatment of people who pay more for their plugins than their DAW costs.

i use it to supplement my main DAW, which is Samplitude. FL has had the best drum programming work flow since its heyday, and i can't get used to any other piano window. FL has it's drawbacks so i mainly use it to program something simple and export midi into another DAW.
i use it to its strengths, and other DAW's were FL falters. Just some food for thought.

 

Yeah the sequencer is nice. I get (more or less) the same thing with Push 2.

I'd love to see other features as other people have mentioned above, but this is really a good one. I was tired of rocking back and forth
I just wish there was a way to make a quick pattern related to an instrument channel and a mixer channel, like many other daws

If they can do auto grouped automation lanes that would be awesome too, glad they finally got this long needed feature in. Theres still a lot of core bits they need to do but this is definitely a step in the right direction in terms of focus and resources.
