mmm yeah those Ricky's are rare to come by..and dear to replace... all I can do is look and dream when I see them hanging on the wall. I do have a Ricky bass, and Mapleglo 330 12, I won't be selling them unless I got a lot worse off.. couldn't replace them at today's prices very easily... the 12 was nice at $700 a long time ago... but the finish has some unsightly checking.. skinny neck as well.. and not easy to play without scraping other strings...

I've seen the photos of Pete Townsend with vintage ruined Ricks on the wall behind him..
wonder if he ever feels regret sometimes for all that smashing.

Just got the album on repeat, playing Zelda BOTW. Feelgood blues licks seem to go together w/ videogames... And life in gen :D

 

ok... 1st time to ever hear this.. and it was simply divine... dat silky Rhodes, funky bass,
and rhythm... if this doesn't get into your spine, then check your pulse

open your ears... and let the lo fi goodness flow in .... a soulgasm ! enjoy

 

Lo-fi? Sounds pretty good and direct to tape tasty, at least with my good ear buds (Sennheiser IE80). The lead guitar sounds plugged direct into the board and overdriven. The bass also direct but not so much fuzz. Lots of warm saturation. Nice pick Herr Durr!

maybe I used the wrong term O Super-one... it was indeed gritty.. perhaps at a loss for words on this one..,
but that overdriven guitar was driving chills down my spine... wheeeew... talk about music to shag to... Soul would be it..

was a killer 70's mix my man.. the stuff that takes me back to better times..

I have this on my playlist again tonight.. love me two times..

Listening to DEPECHE MODE - SPIRIT (2017) right now
It will be released next week (17 March 2017), but yesterday it was leaked as flac, mp3, and deluxe version.
As previous 2 album ("Sounds Of The Universe" 2009, and "Delta Machine" 2013) it has been made mostly with analog vintage/modern hardware synthesizers, drum-machines, analog processing etc. But to me it sounds like previous their albums since "VIOLATOR" era, combination of 1990-2013 eras vibes...Very unique, nostalgic and NEW
