Until two days ago all the vst based on eLicenser protection (Arturia, Rob Papen, waldorf) were working perfectly, then I had the brilliant idea to install a router to improve my internet connection and since that moment all the vst eLicenser based don't works anymore.
I've tried to rewrite the licenses with the keygens, I have uninstalled, deleted all the folders of Syncrosoft and eLicenser and then reinstalled it then used again the keygens and other things...all that I have done seems useless. I don't know what else I can do, any suggestion?

Hi Diabulus in Musica there's a cmd to reset the ELicenser protection its in one of the nfo's of the AiR's releases of Arturia, Rob Papen, waldorf




To manually create a new soft elicenser Key type in a DOS prompt or the StartMenu run box:
%ProgramFiles%\eLicenser\POS\SYNSOPOS.exe /regsel

To delete a Key just be sure LCC is closed and delete the SeLicenser.sel located file in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Syncrosoft

Well let's see what you did, back tracking is important

You stated with no issues then you introduced a router let's go from there

Routers do 2 things

1.DHCP server
2. ROUTE THE TRAFFIC!!!

Let's take a number 1.

Before you introduced the router your IP was different I will bet my hairy ass on that one LOL.
So let's go over this again when you installed the router the router did what it is suppose to PROVIDE an IP address to any connected clients. So the solution is :

1. remove the router first. Then plug that pc back in like it was.
2. If step 1 worked then we know that the elicencer is tied to your NIC ( ethernet card)
check your IP in command prompt
"ipconfig /all" Without the brackets

Now check that your IP is on the ethernet card and write it down.

The reason is you may have to then plug the router login to it, then change the local network DHCP server list to that IP number similar to what you get assigned without having the router installed.
So the PC you are using would be setup up with a STATIC IP. Do that by going into your control panel and "network connections" then right click your ethernet connection there and click properties then on the listing there scroll down to "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and double click it then on the next page input your IP manualy


Or you can reformat and install everything clean
Or try to get rid of any elicencer crap on your system including

C:\Documents and Settings\"user name"\Local Settings\Application Data\**Check in here**

C:\Documents and Settings\"user name"\Application Data\**Check in here**

If you're using Windows, do a system restore to an earlier date before you installed the router (the further away the better). Make sure your present work is backed up just in case. See if this works!

Well I can't open %ProgramFiles%\eLicenser\POS\SYNSOPOS.exe /regsel from DOS promp or Run box, DOS says: "Program" is not recognized as an internal or external command, an executable file or a batch file.

Try this if your on a 32 bit OS miss out the (86) but leave the space
and you need to start with the cmd prompt C:\
so type cd\ and that will give you on the next line c:\


C:\ProgramFiles (86)\eLicenser\POS\SYNSOPOS.exe /regsel

I'm on Win 7 64 bit and SYNSOPOS.exe is located in C:\Program Files (86)\eLicenser\POS\SYNSOPOS.exe

That's fine.. wallow in your ineptitude then

 

Thats because there is a space in the path and you are executing the command without wrapping the path in quotes.



Anyway, heres a little batchtool i wrote.

It checks if SYNSOPOS exists, shuts it down if it is running, backs up your old selicenser.sel, restores it in case something goes wrong, provides rudimentary checking and errorhandling, etc, just take a look inside and you will see whats going on.

Also, if you use it, and you have the UAC on, be sure to run it As Administrator. SYNSOPOS needs the elevated privileges.


Note: The ZIP contains a 32bit and a 64bit version. Please check your OS version before you run anything!

 

Found a little bug in the restore routine.

(Would have been only a problem if a new selicenser.sel could not be created and the backup would have had to be restored.)

Please get fixed version. (Attached in post above.)

I have downloaded the batch file made by Captain_Future but it don't works too!

I have the same problema that Diabulus, but I have installed Windows 8...pfff...Well, I am trying to "renove" the liscense and after thousands of tests writing the magical phrase : C:\ProgramFiles (86)\eLicenser\POS\SYNSOPOS.exe /regsel with all the combinations, removing, adding spaces etc etc, I saw your aplication , I donwloaded it, and when it seems it Works, without to get the eternal message "ProgramFiles" is not recognized as an internal or external command, an executable file or a batch file, etc Appears the next message in Windows 8 "mode":



"You can not run this application on your computer, to search a version for your computer, check with the software Publisher"

Bravo...So, finally your aplication exits and it can do nothing for to generate a new liscense, but your Little program Works fine! I am sure! so...
I am tired to try finding resources on internet about this, and I just found all related with synsopos, eLincenser etc, but no how to fix the way I could run your aplication!! I have installed Hyper-V App (it comes on w8, but I have no idea if it will work after hours adjusting settings. other OS and bla bla...

Could you helps me? I am working on a big Project alternating Cubase 5 and 7 Elements cos I have 16 Gb of ram, and if I try to open that Project in Cubase 5, it doesn't open cos it needs more than 32 bits 4 gb typical settings...
