Repro 1 Filter Cutoff Automation on Ableton (Not Working) FIXED

    So, after reading the manual, and trying for like 4 hours, I can't link the Filter Cutoff to any MIDI controller.
    This is kind of stupid, because I have this amazing track I'm working on, and if someone figure it how to do this, please, help a bro.

    Group it and map a macro to Cutoff then map the macro to midi controller?

    I can't ... If you know how to make it, please tell me... It's stupid, because in FL Studio is easy as hell, but in Ableton, we simply don't have the Cutoff on automation :woot:

    click the arrow on the ableton box for repro-1.
    then click on configure to make it green. if not already visible the repro-1 gui should appear.
    click on the filter cutoff inside the repro-1 vst. 'filter: cutoff' slider will appear in the ableton box
    click configure again to make it grey again.

    you should now be able to midi map the filter cutoff from that slider that appeared in the ableton box
    this worked for me with the repro-1 demo

    It looks like that u have manipulated your options.txt file for Ableton Live. In Windows its somewhere : C:\Users\[yourpc]\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live 9.7.1\Preferences

    Go there and remove the line called
    PluginAutoPopulateThreshold

    As everyone can see on your video, all the tweakable parameters are populated in the Ableton box. This is not good because you then dont see your cutoff (here) parameters. Removing 'PluginAutoPopulateThreshold' from your options.txt, you will have nothing appearing in the Ableton box. Instead of this go to configure, where every tweakable parameter won't appear as long as you touch the e.g. Cutoff knob.
    So i have no problems so far using automation in AL 9.7.1 on win10pro. By the way; i use version 'Repro-1_5107'.

    Thank you so much... It was giving me a lot of headache, and was so simple....
    Now I just need to figure out why I can't map my MIDI controllers....

    EDIT: Fixed... For some reason the "remote" option on the MIDI configuration was disabled :dunno:

    Anyhow, thank you all for your help :winker::disco::mates::wink:

    glad it is sorted. :)
    i tried the auto populate thing too, but changed it so only vsts with 16 or less parameters get auto populated.
    it is a really useful feature for small vsts/ but can be a headache for normal ones (as you well know!)
