Don't know if it's been mentioned but googledrive now supports mp3 streaming players. Also it's possible to embed folders into googlesites from googledrive so the two work well together. Been using it for collaborations. Also ge.tt and dropbox.

im pretty sure Skrillex and deadmau5 didnt build their career by selling their tracks thru Bandcamp, i'd love to see a REAL masterclass on how to really survive and thrive in the music business (sometimes looks and friends-connections are crucial for this btw)

thanks for the post nevertheless, i guess for us soundclouder's and family only youtube channels its a starting point

    exactly.
they convinced some labels their tracks were going to sell, they got published, the labels invested a shitload of money $$, rinse and repeat for a few LPs and EPs, and the rest is history.

there are rare cases where a song is so good that it becomes a super hit just by word of mouth but this happens rarely and when it happens there's always a radio or a DJ or a TV show behind it.

strictly speaking, you won't get any traction spamming all the social networks and any possible musical blog or forum, you simply wont get noticed and ultimately people will tell you to stop spamming and to fuck off.

self publishing will push your realease in any digital store and streaming site, but still you won't get noticed even if your songs are good.
a few likes here and there, some downloads, some streams, that's all you will get.

and the reason is obvious : you spent zero on marketing and you got exactly what you paid ... zero.

so, how to succeed or at least to get the foot in the door ?
unless you're already famous, there's only one way : sending a good demo to a label.
    no ifs and no buts.

  7. No it doesn't, I just visited the site and they explicitly stated that mobile browsers are NOT supported.

I think you need to try a mobile application instead mobile browser.

  9. Silly me. I even have a MEGA mobile account tied into the app on my tablet. Thanks for the reminder.

    WeTransfer

    10/10

Works for seven days straight if you wanna share some WIP or similar stuff. Up to 2 GB, no registration, completely free. No ads whatsoever.

You can get the 'Plus' version if you're into that stuff. Simpler version already works pretty good !

    Cheers.

BTW forgot to mention there's also DrBee and ClypIt for 'community' audio sharing, and there's Streamable as an alternative to YouTube.
