I just recently started to "Finish" my beats and upload them. Never done it since 2009. Got hundreds of them in folders. Never gets to see the light of day, time to change that.

Congratulations on finishing your beats. It's chill man, I like it. I'm not a fan of that snare I think the snares in all your tracks are a little loud, but meh. Who cares

Sarcastic or not? The snares is a bit "sharp" on all of my tracks. Especially on the Halloween beat (The Clap and Snare together). Other then that I try to keep them as "round" as possible. Im not that good of a mixer though!

Just felt like asking just because of the fact that some of the snares/claps on my tracks are pretty sharp, to me. (Paranoid parrot)

 

good thing you are finishing them, but be realistic and dont choose "hundreds"
don't spend time with crap, group the worst beats/projects you know have no future and don't even inspire you and delete them.

then finish you tracks, but don't upload ALL
be picky and choose the ones that came out as best.

NOBODY will want to hear 9 awful boring songs to maybe hear one interesting track.
and worst of all, they will not come back for more.

Its like serving food to guests, you don't empty your freeze on them.

btw, i found the strongest ideas in the bottom 2 songs. and the 4 from the bottom up (Shake Your Body Down) deserved a snappier melody. nice job though

This is a beat I did yesterday, cant finish it becaous omnisphere is crasching but It's 90% done!

 

I like this one also though I feel that the pluck sound is too far behind the beat and is hindering the upbeat feeling of the groove. At 1:26 I wanted to see if in context of the orchestration becoming more dense if it would fit, but it did not to my sensibilities. Perhaps keep everything the same but just push that pluck 4 or 5 milliseconds more up front or so to help the groove be groovier. Juse my 2cents.

 

So what you mean is that i should move the guitar-pluck so it plays a bit sooner?
What do you mean with that Orchestration part? English is not my native language so i dont really get it but I'm trying to understand!

What do you think about the mix?

If you have any wishes about a genre i should produce next, tell me what you want to hear. I love to produce under pressure and also produce from a standpoint where somebody is like "That is what i want, produce this type of music!" and then i'll do it with my own sound and twist to it. =)

Rock? Reggae? anything else?

 

Forward thinking, out of the box beautiful music like my new imaginary lover/studio partner FKA Twigs would be my answer.

And yes, the pluck must come earlier in time.
