The Broadway Big Band Library can not be beaten for realism.

 

Yes BBB *is* very good. Also for consideration - Chris Hein Horns collection 1-4. Very realistic but saying that, if you have a wind controller the Sample Modelling Series sounds awesome when programmed/played properly.

are you sure those are organic? i heard they used pesticides.

 

I still have Arturia Brass, which is physical modeling, not samples. Not sure why Arturia stopped updating it, but to give you an idea of how old this plug is, it was included with Arturia's v2 collection. It sounds pretty amazing, especially as a solo instrument, and you can tweak each horn any way you want. I don't know if you have a PC or a Mac, but on macOS, it seems to get glitchy and weird (the CPU meter constantly spikes) when you load up a bigger or mixed ensemble, even though my MBP far exceeds their recommended system requirements. It also only runs in 32-bit mode, as it was long gone before the advent of 64-bit plugs, but still runs glitch-free in standalone and as a bridged 64-bit plug in PT 12 and DP 9.12 on El Capitan.
