a little late to the market. wonder how many players are still looking for a new electric piano library? but the standalone nature of the product might be the clincher for some.

why? because of Eric's product? nah, new Scarbee Rhodes is awesome and this will be awesome too. Late George Duke really did help Scarbee up his game and make a difference in Rhodes sampling.

yes i bought alot from them in the past , but now i dont anymore , from Kontakt to UVI and now to his own engine and everytime you needs to pay for this near same stuff everytime again as upgrade fee due his direction . and i know a few more customer which says now they dont want upgrade anymore and look to something else .

 

well, for the owners of previous Neo-Soul Keys instruments, who are interested in this new edition, Jamal promised a cool upgrade path. prices are TBA though. there's still work to do, but it's just two months away approx.

 

I'm really impressed with the new Scarbee demos so far, the sound, the playability, it really is a BIG EP. the name doesn't lie. then again, Tomas has always been a trusty dev, no wonder it does sound great.

yet I'm all for that vintage junk, so I'm stoked to see this VST too.

it's been a year of EP's, and, for a change, it would be great to see a few Hammond additions as well. some VB3 2, Keyscape organs or NI Vintage Organs 2. there's still work to do in Hammond and Leslie department.

 

doh... i have already NSK 4 with UVI and which just sound probably the best, what i get more with this? and itll be another $199 or something?.

This is an edit to a disgusting post I made... I want to apologize to Jamal and his associates for the language and down right nasty rhetoric I let fly here... I'm a born again Christian. I have more cracks in my pot than I can count. But it's only through the potters hands that my life can be reshape and transformed into something better. I hope those of you here who know me will understand I can be very cynical at times, but it never gives me the right to be a complete jerk... I wish Jamal and his team the best in their business endeavors.

Moogfooger, I'm sorry you feel that way about me and what we do. If you would like to speak offline about this, please PM me, but our goal is to provide ministry to musicians to help them in their careers and their spiritual life as well as music. We offer, what we think, are products geared towards the Christian world, and not just gospel. Gospel does not always equal black. Gospel is the Good news of Jesus Christ. Once again so sorry you feel this way and anything I can do to represent Jesus better, let me know and I will take heed to your comments.

Now as far as Neo-Soul Keys Studio:
1. This is not some rehash of the same old stuff. As the post suggests, there are a ton of NEW sampled EPs, the VKFX built-in, VKFX as standalone FX to be used in your DAW; A ton of mechanical FX, and much more control and programability.
2. We chose our own platform, because there are just some things that you cannot do on another man's system. We chose our own system so we could finally do the things we wanted to do, in order to make the EPs that much more special. One of those things being a dramatic reduction of CPU. Sound takes precedence over platform.
3. Of course we understand people still purchased the NSK UVI 4.0, so we have an upgrade path that will be very minimal as well as an upgrade path for "competitive-crossgrade."
4. You can never with with a serial number system. Some people hate iLok. Some love it. Some want challenge response, some hate it. Some hate to be connected to the internet, and some don't mind. You can't please everyone with the serial number system and this is the best we could do.

Either way, we appreciate the support and all we want to do is make great sounding stuff, and hopefully spread the gospel while doing it.

Personally, I think your new NSK sounds great especially for anyone looking for that genre specific sound.

Ive also bought several UVI libraries from you guys and was very satisfied with everything Ive purchased. You did an outstanding job with your BlueBeast and TGX series, especially the TGX-85... the Yamaha TG500 was a staple in my studio for years and one of my favorite synths so it was nice to have those sounds available again.

Although I'm not a fan of upgrading software for new formats, I do hope you continue making new libraries, especially for UVI. You do such a phenomenal job filling a space in the market for synth libraries that haven't been done to death (if at all) and really nail capturing the feel of those instruments. Its not an easy thing to do and I have a lot of respect for that. Cheers

 

I liked the overviews, I think, Jamal has upped his game with this edition. between this, Keyscape and Scarbee, some SonicCouture and Acousticsamples, I don't know if you'll ever need more virtual electric pianos. I mean, why?

I just wish they'd make other virtual instruments with the same persistence they release acoustic and electric pianos. It's really getting redundant.

You seem like a very kind soul. And you do make very great sounding ep! I've demoed them on the sister site, but deleted as I am not really a keyboard player. Just wanted to try it out. And I own the basic AIR one anyway, which is the only one I could ever afford! I got it on their cheap upgrade sale from the $1 Xpand 2 upgrade. Got AIR's whole collection! I could never afford any of your products because I am a raging pothead! One day ima smoke a doob with Jesus! Maybe you'll be there too?
