I´ve toured this forum for the answar and didnt find anything!

Im so tired of Kontakt v5.6.5 and I´ve been sitting here for some time trying to do a complete uninstall!

I´ve been all places I usually go if I need to for unstalling and removing files, but I can still run Kontakt v5.6.5 on my computer and Im beginning to get a little desperate now!

Could some good soul please either direct me to a thread that give me the full uninstall or tell what to do?

Im on Win7 64bit

You can just install an older one on top and it will downgrade

 

Found elsewhere (working fine also for 5.6.5) :

1. First uninstall Native Instruments Kontakt 5 (from Control Panel > "Uninstall a Program" applet).

2. From "%PROGRAMFILES%\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center", delete "Kontakt 5.xml" file.

3. Remove these folders (entirely):

- %PROGRAMFILES%\Common Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5
- %PROGRAMFILES%\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5
- %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\Common Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5 (64-bit Windows only)
- %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5 (64-bit Windows only)
- %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5
- %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5
- %LOCALAPPDATA%\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5

Also delete all "Kontakt*.dll" files from your VST folders (BOTH 32-bit and 64-bit VST2 folders):

- Kontakt 5 8out.dll
- Kontakt 5 16out.dll
- Kontakt 5.dll

4. Keys to remove from Registry (use Regedit):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5

(optional - normally they was deleted by the uninstaller)

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.NKB
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.NKI
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.NKM
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.NKP
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.NKS
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\NI.Kontakt 5.nki
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\NI.Kontakt 5.nkm

Do you mean my solution doesn't work? (if I understand correctly).

 

If you gonna use that methode you need the Service Center to be installed and that vanished after Kontakt v5.5.5 or like I guess!

 

@phloopy ever try Revo Uninstaller Pro ? It goes through a typical uninstall using the unwise,
then it hunts down every reference to the program, including registry, then you can choose to delete anything that looks suspect..

works for me anyway.. available from the usual sources..

 

I have installed v5.6.5 R2R (and using patched exe/dlls from other distribution), and really the method described above (not from me) works fine, even with v5.6.5. Of course it's "Service Center" (I presume because I don't use it), not "Native Access".

Francophone? il va falloir que je teste ce Revo Uninstaller Pro. Le seul outil que j'utilise sur mon système de test est Total Uninstall pour espionner une installation.

In English... I'll must to try Revo Uninstaller Pro asap. Actually, I'm using Total Uninstall on my test OS (separate HDD, using TrueImage for restoration) - to monitor installations, because I create personal repack (x64 VST/VST3 only, pre-registered if possible, clean uninstaller, etc) using mainly Setup Factory (rarely: Inno Setup).
