i've tried some impulses posted in this thread, i really get a close sound of an acoustic guitar, but not only with the IR's.

I first use a compressor (magix fx suite, acoustic guitar patch)
nadir with the dtar IR in stereo
and most important The eq match (fabfilter Q2): download a sample of an acustic guitar then match the eq with your guitar, and after that insert other instance of fabfilter q2 for the final touches and last insert a reverb of your choice in my case i used valhalla vintageverb.

this metod also works for simulate a bass, i don't have audio to post because i erase the settings. I wanna make it with time

pelao did you use the EQ before the IR or after? Which IRs?
Before this thread, I never knew acoustic IRs even existed. As much as this prolly helped you, my piezo sound took a giant step in TONE and inspirational qualities.

MIDIguitar beta 12 gives you pitchbend. Set to 2 step and play a bass sample with vibrato.......OMFG

the match eq goes after nadir, both instances of fabfilter goes after nadir and midiguitar will be the most amazing soft for guitarrist

I've had rather good results with ReValver 4 simulating an acoustic guitar.

The thing is, it only really works with a single coil guitar (neck pickup) source. Humbucker? Shit out of luck.

I've tried lots of guitar software over the years, ReValver 4's ACT modelling takes the cake when it comes to simulating an acoustic guitar.

I've never had even decent results trying to turn an electric guitar into a bass guitar.

First, it just never sounds right no matter what.

Second, I find there's always too much extra latency when using a pitch shifter to downtune an instrument a whole octave.

Third, a lighter string behaves too differently compered to a much heavier bass guitar gauge string. Your intonation / fine tuning will be all over the place / or just sound really weird compared to a real bass guitar, especially during the attack phase of the notes. MAYBE you could get decent results by putting few really hardcore large gauge strings to your guitar and tuning them to A (or even lower) and then using a pitch shifter to tune it down even further but it's a hassle.

ANY super cheap bass guitar will get you much much much better results. 100e Harley Benton bass, most bang for buck purchase in my life.

I remember now that there's a few devices that just let you plug your guitar in directly without a MIDI pickup (Axon had a couple). There's also quite a few MIDI guitars out there, like Line 6's stuff, Parker ... I think Fender has a USB Strat, too.
