I think the best solution would be a simple radio button at the top of the navigation called "list all new releases incl Freeware" and "list only payable releases". A new category...I think site layout doesnt allow this.

 

Look - if AZ "really cares" about what people think, I wonder if Saint will poll members on the "ethics of uploaders making money against the very teams that crack the software or supply it", and whether or not we should not see their posts either?....

 

As Integral always posts developers site, its up to you where you download from. BTW..is there any difference between making affiliate money from commercial products and free products?

 

really mate?, create more work to support this fantasy idea that the problem is posting of free links - NO.. the "root cause" of this problem is integral and money... freeware links to KVR forums etc are not enough for people looking to discover the next synth edit diamond? - you are suggesting a solution that will not solve the root cause problem.

I get what you are saying.. but the site(s) have historically had a very liberal attitude towards what is allowed, and over time
policies evolve due to a sort of consensus that arises e.g. regarding conspiracy theory threads, politically charged topics etc.
Now one has arisen on the Z, @SAiNT is responding to the outcry that started in the Z. He said he would address it and he is,
thus we have the poll. And now again this thread with its multitude of opinions. Don't recall him saying he would not tolerate it,
because it has been tolerated up to a couple months ago when the complaints hit a higher frequency and pitch ( no pun intended)

anyway.. what is derived from the poll, will be used in @SAiNT's decision obviously, his site .. his call.. pretty simple

yes !! to about 65% of the people... but when do you ever get 100% agreement on anything
out of a large group of people? Somewhere around 0% of the time ??

I never look at the right,so I imagine that the no life crybabies who got nothing else to do then refreshing the front page.

Find a hobby, make some music, get that Repetitive strain injury fixed what makes it hard to scroll

maybe go do some research on the ethics of making money from software from the teams that currently feed you free software and others that have done for over 15 years ... free or cracked...

He's linking freeware, not group cracked warez. All of the sister sites releases use affiliate file lockers. Therefore it seems that by your logic, you want the whole sister site banned.
