Hey all,

Thanks to AudioP2P and Team Dynamics (just to name the two famous groups in samples libraries' releases), poor fellows like me can access to great quality products such as Project Sam, Natives Instruments, Prominy, etc.
That's fine, but the reason why registered users who supplies these groups are not able (or don't want) to provide them the relevant updates (even when these updates are available before the initial scene release), that's beyond my comprehension .

Yes thats very odd!!
Since some of those upgrades are fixes of well known bugs and errors.

We have however got hold of many great updates over the years but kontakt sample lib:s seems to be one of those that we not can get hold of.
I was very suprised when the update of Chris Heinz Horn vol 1,5 was released but i think it was a "not scene release"

 

Updates are hard to get because they are not on the developers site, They all use Kontakt's service center for them. The best I can do is contact the original suppliers and see what's up.

Of course original suppliers are essential in the process, even if updates are downloadable from developer's site but for registered customers only...

EDIT : Some updates are available on the developers site :

"22-2-2011 - Orchestral Brass Classic 1.2 update available. This 1.2 update is a maintenance update fixing a number of minor bugs and is now available from your ProjectSAM website account and the NI Service Center."

 

Yes, thank you for replying Mykal, even if the original suppliers are unable to help. I honestly do take a "try before you buy" approach to -all- of the libraries I use, and I can see why people who think the same way wouldn't see the point in supplying regular updates. We're in no position to complain after all :P

Thank you very much for "Native Instruments Abbey Roads 60 v1.1 UPDATE-TEAM AudioP2P" .

 

I'm not sure if it counts as an update or if it's something I should place in the requests section... LA Scoring Strings recently had an update called "La Scoring Strings Legato Sordino". It basically adds string mutes in a much more deeply sampled way than the original, which had -very- limited sordino function.

I didn't think it'd make a difference in the sound but looking on the website, it's the perfect tone for your gushy romance themes, creepy music, and all sorts of others. If the original suppliers could be contacted for that update/expansion, it'd be muuuch appreciated!

Edit;; And it isn't as recent as Cinebrass which everyone is clamoring over in other sections of the forum and a well known torrent site... La Scoring Strings Legato Sordino came out somewhere from a month and a half to three months ago.

It's definitely a separate product (approximately 7.1 GB uncompressed) and it's not free as an update ($249.00).

I think very few members @ AudioZ are reading the Requests section, and I guess that's because it become tedious to read so many requests for uncracked apps and unavailable libs (like this one you're asking for ).

So maybe we can beg SAiNT to create here a special request section only for samples libraries updates... To be convinced, he just have to look at the incredible fast reactivity of this topic.

Ah, okay. Sorry for the confusion! It looks like its only $150 for people who already had LA Scoring Strings Full, so it's possible that the original suppliers decided to get the Legato Sordinos already.

And yes, it would definitely be nice of SAINT to create such a request section, you're right in that I'm sure the requests for uncracked things like EW's PLAY libraries is annoying to people who might actually contribute. It would be a great way for people who own the libraries (I own most of Cinesamples stuff) to keep the updates coming.
