So there's a way of using Cubase w/o the dongle

    It's good for either sharing your license with friends, splitting the cost of licenses or if you don't want your production laptop to miss a USB port.

    I don't know if it was published before - but 2 years ago we came up with the idea of sharing the usb port online. It wasn't possible then, but today, with services like "flexihub" or similar, you can share your USB port.

    Therefore, you can use Cubase/ Nexus 2 or whatever software that needs a usb dongle, and at the same time share your port with another computer.

    We test it. It works.

    So if you want to buy a software with some friends, or if you need that extra USB port, or even if you don't want to carry your dongle around and want to leave it home while producing on the road - it's possible.

    It would be cool if this flexyhub thing was able to share the USB port with say, 2 million users at the same time...

    From a Flexihub team member : "No, multiple access to a USB device is not technically possible. Only a single system will be able to use the device at a time."

    So, for cubase (by example) you can only share the usb dongle device with 1 other person.

    But its better than nothing..

    Yes, but I believe that in the future you will have technology that can duplicate that USB to a virtual one and share it to more.

    Anyway it's great for working from outside the studio without the need to carry the dongle around, and, you can split the cost with a friend and work on the program with a schedule.
