i dont use windows defender, nor did i do it your way & also havent tried on on studio one 3.33 yet, ill download it now and try. but on 3.32, I just block all connections except for: TCP/UDP OUT/ Remote Port 80,47809 TCP/UDp IN/ Remote Port 80,47809 and it works fine

 

That's essentially what my method does, i.e. block all ports excepts for the numbers not listed.

 

My recording computer is connected to my home network, but my router has access control so that I can use it to block any computer in the house from internet access. I use Studio One 3 Pro on that computer. At one time one of the R2R versions of Studio One had a warning about using the Soundcloud function, so I think that connecting it directly to Soundcloud is not a good idea.

 

Yeah, that is a solution, but means the entire computer being offline (except home network), rather than just the application.

 

I get what your method does its overkill but still same thing But two things you could be forgetting to do. One you said you blocked all In ports well you need to unblock what I listed before also you could be forgetting to add the subnet address for the iPad app which is 255.255.255.255 once again didn't read your method but you need to unblock the out and in ports of the numbers listed before on the subnet address

 

With Windows Firewall Control on Win7 I've never ever had problems with any application calling home without my permission and I'm always connected. It's not an actual firewall rather an user friendly interface for the original Win firewall. It always asks when some app tries to connect to the internet with the choices to allow, block, allow/block temporarily. It even gives you a choice via right click on .exe to allow/block before launching the app.

 

And to be totally, seriously safe, paint all the surfaces of the room with copper based paint. Nothing enters, nothing leaves.

 

I think Lead paint might do a little better.

 

Hi, guys.. I know this thread is old. But did anyone found a success connecting Studio One Remote with the R2R version of Studio One 4?

Im using android and win 7.. at first I get the "This version is not supported", and after allowing inbound connection in the firewall.. now I get "Studio One is not activated on your computer"

Hope anyone can share some idea.
