You can make Scenes 'UNIQUE', so when you duplicate a Scene with it's Pattern you can edit them separately without affecting the other Patterns in the other Scenes.
If you duplicate a Scene, it retains it's Scene number. If you make a Scene unique it is given a new Scene number.

2.1.5.2 Making Scenes Unique on MASCHINE STUDIO HARDWARE:
    1. Press the SCENE button.
    2. Select the Scene you want to make unique by pressing the Pad.
    3. Press button 2 UNIQUE. ⇨ The Scene will become independent of any Scenes it was linked to and the Patterns can be edited without affecting any the original Scenes.

To delete MIDI automation data from the controller directly, hold ERASE button and turn the knob that corresponds with your parameter.
To (re)record automation data from the controller directly, hold AUTO button and turn the appropriate knob.
Step-Automation: Hold down the Pad # and turning a rotary knob to adjust parameters for specific steps in Step-Sequencer mode.
You can delete specific automation points using the Step-Automation method and dialing down to zero.
To remove ALL automation, hold SHIFT+CLR AUTO

You can delete all notes or MIDI events in a Sound but keep it's VST/FX chain by selecting the Pad # and pressing Clear.

That feature which isn't there yet is,I believe will be called Song Layer and it's supposed to allow you to overlay Clips without the restriction of Scenes.

I recommend playing using the EVENTS and STEP-MODE buttons in conjunction as you can then Duplicate Scenes with or without Patterns.
Pressing UNDO will undo the entire take. When the sequencer loops once that's considered a take.
Hold SHIFT and press the STEP REDO/UNDO to undo incrementally.

Keep on with the Talkboxing, yo.

    Thanks
Thank you, this is really good information! But I do have to add that, I wish they made automation a bit friendly. I wish they allowed for straight lines instead of dots. No performance this isn't bad at all, but when production its alot easier to draw a line. In 2.5 we still can't so that. I also would like to mention, that, and no disrespect, I think erasing the data is a lil more complicated than it needs to be, I just wish the clear button wipe the whole pattern, pressing other buttons and the trying to make sure it's the data is a little over the top, if I mess up on modulation or controls, ect as a whole the clear button should be more effective in doing so. Here is my question I may add I don't know if you've seen my beat remakes, I don't like step sequencing I rare use it and I make my beats from scratch. Why would I want to use it. And will it effect my the fact I play straight out? I really have never seen the need for step sequencing the way I write music. I really like what you have told me! I definitely try it when I get home! Thank you Pinkman!
