I have these (FX and amp) as plugins and stand-alones cracked but I'm wondering how do you update a cracked app? Can I download user tone cloud patches elsewhere and load them on a file to import or something?

I'm new to audio recording and just.lost. I want to get into native instruments too like komplete 10. I'll likely even get a komplete audio 6

 

generally there is 2 ways:
1) simply backup your presets and uninstall the old one and install the new one and then activate it the same way you did before
2) don't uninstall your previous version and dirty install the new version over that. the files should be updated.

i don't know that the 2nd works but the 1st one always works

 

Is there a way to make sure that what you find "out there" "for free" is the actual goods? That's really been one of the most difficult things for me.

Not at all dude. I'm just a bedroom noodler that is trying to learn about these apps. Pretty broke. My buddy has an NI Maschine and a bunch of licenses for their soft that he gave me access too. I'm just getting into that stuff though. I am more looking for guitar stuff.

Gonna get a better interface but for now I use my thr10 as an interface to cubase

 

I can't afford the plugins let alone the tube amps they are modeling. This is my best shot at getting some really killer tones.

 

Sign up for a Focusrite account they have a free LE version that might help you out. Plus a few other great freebies.

 

Just did that right now. When I get home from work I'm gonna try some out. I actually found some versions of the plugins that I could grab. Does the ones I found not matching current versions from the vendor site make a big difference?

 

Well I got it all working last night. So super awesome. This is an awesome plugin. My PC was doing quite well with it even when working with a couple instances of it open on different tracks.

I'm wondering how I can get user made presets though. I know I shouldn't connect to tone cloud but is there a way to download them somewhere and load into the folder on the machine or something?

This is just another sim right? I'm wondering how u can get bias tone cloud tones with the patched. Can I still login without messing up the patch?

 

Tried to log in to tone cloud and it said I wasn't online. Like my machine had no connection. Weird since I was on my wifi. Any thoughts on that one?

 

The r2r note in their release says 'don't use tone cloud', so that's pretty definitive.

Whether a legit user can go on-line, download the content and then share them on as standard presets, I don't know. That would be your only hope of accessing the extra patches etc...
