I'll try to post something like this every Thursday. I do not write these, and don't know who does. Some times, they involve a lot of talk about God, which I reinterpret into something tangible. These do not express my opinions, as I often disagree with what they have to say. Feel free to call out the BS. I got one that was titled "Good Vibes and Positive Thinking". It made me mad reading that sh*t lol. Some will be a lot more relative than others.

    Goals and Obsessions

For most of us, there is a difference between a goal and an obsession. There is also a difference between being responsible and being compulsive. Many of us are obsessive doers. These people have so much to do, that the very qualities that drive them toward success are the qualities that create tension and frustration.

It is true that we must work for anything each of us desires to have in our lives. The question is do we have to work so hard? Must we always have something to do? Is it possible that we could ease up just a little? Most people would say no. Very few of us understand that for every step we take toward our desires, the Universe will take two. If we have to do it all on our own, there is absolutely nothing left for the Universe to do for us.

One reason most of us work so hard is that we are afraid. Few people will admit it, but most of us live in fear that we are not going to achieve our goals, receive the results we expect or fulfill our heartfelt desires. It is this fear that causes us to engage in a power struggle with ourselves. Strain, struggle, frustration, tension, anxiety, compulsion, obsession, and fear are the results we get when we are pushing too hard. If we would just try occasionally easing up a little, we might be surprised by what simplicity will do on our behalf.

Most of us may not have been aware that we can do too much. We may have been a stumbling block on our own path. Let us ease up! Relax! Let each of us sit back, and put our feet up for just a moment to appreciate the good things in our lives!

A true man conquers his fears. "The Truman Show" A deeper meaning.
BUT!, What if I conquer my fears, and by doing so, it creates fear in others?

How? I understand fear to be an internal process that is exclusive to an individual. You are not creating their fear. They are.
Unless they're willingly being a belligerent dick, it's entirely up to me how to react.
We can choose to hold each other accountable but true personal growth only comes from accepting the responsibilities of one's own actions.

Fear is an unavoidable force that exists in every single persons life. It can manifest in trivial or mundane forms in regular day-to-day life or it can be a profound and hindering idea that is keeping us from fulfilling our calling.
Fear is seeded within us (usually from our own thoughts and insecurities) and it's only purpose is to keep us stagnant.
The moment you realize that fear does exist you become aware of it's purely binary nature.
We can continue subserviently in fear and hide from it (AKA indifference) = 0
No longer feel the urge to run from it /having the will to face your fears = 1
Once you can stand in the face of your fear, the only logical step left is to overcome it.

For me, years ago, it was eye-opening to realize that fear likes to manifest itself in so many differently clouded shapes and forms. Logical, rational thoughts that will try to dissuade you from what you're actually meant to be doing.
This might sound a little out there but I believe fear is like a germinating seed. It takes serious self-reflection, loss of ego and willingness to accept your weaknesses to trace it to it's root source.

@Cav Emp, @fraifikmushi and @Talmi were talking about The War of Art in chat earlier. This is a simple, effective and enlightening read. @arhythmtech There's an awesome quote in that from Inside the Actor's Studio that I think relates.

The host, James Lipton, invariably asks his guests, “What factors make you decide to take a particular role?” The actor always answers: “Because I’m afraid of it.”

There are really interesting ideas of resistance and sabotage, from others and ourselves, but it all comes down to what you allow into your life.
Setting up boundaries. Balancing your rational, technical proficiency with innate intuition and talent.
    That's like, actual harmony.
