when i was still hooked into analogs i owned many synths, i don't think their synth drums were sounding too different from each other in general.

out of curiosity i tried a few synth drums libraries and i never found anything worth their price, these sounds are dime a dozen in 2016.
the only synth drum plugin that excited me recently was Stacker but we're talking about small nuances, nothing revolutionary.

at this point i see not a single reason to invest time into synth-drum research unless you plan to compose stuff like Aphex Twin or Nils Frahm.
