Thanks for thinking of me. I've not seem them before so I'll give them a demo, though I'm pretty sure I'll be with my current plug for ever.

Some kind of Stuff i like, because it's no mainstream, with a cool fresh Idea to build a Spacy Track with a Guitar where you would never assume one. Good Work Aliens. Only not so great thing are the Vox, even with the Lyrics on the Screen it's hard to understand anything. Great Track.

My Time while listening to yeahyeahyeah was not wasted

Thanks @elixter I appreciate the comment. :like:

Just trust me the vocals are better this way, even if you can't understand them too clearly on this version :lmao:

Haha, most probably. But maybe they at least inspire you with a new idea or two. :winker:

You're right, and one can never have enough tools in the box.
The vocoder has a nice tone to it, which is a good start, though I would like to try running a different synth through it, but I haven't worked out how to do it yet.

It is relatively easy. I use Reaper, you have to adapt it to your own DAW:
Create 3 tracks. First one is the carrier, second is the modulator, to the third one load the vocoder. If you use midi data as carrier, route midi from track 1 to track 3. If you use audio data as carrier (e.g. your own synth), send audio to channel 1 of track 3. Send the modulator track (track 2) to channel 2 of track 3.

Sounds more complicated than it is. There should be a manual in the zip, it explains the routing in more detail with images.

There is a manual and it gives reaper as an example, but I'm on studio one 3 so I'll have to have a fiddle with it and see how I get on.
I would recommend this to non singers who want to get going quickly and add vocals to their otherwise instrumental tracks. It's quite effective to quickly lay down a vocal track and add a missing dimension to your songs. Makes all the difference when you play them to a significant other or friend type people.
I first started out with a nz$6 headset mic combo and I ended up a rock star lol

Yes, a vocoder can add to your song. But it also depends on the style. I mean, your music for example is just perfect for a vocoder singing above it all, but a metal track wouldn't benefit from it. :)

Regarding your issue, I never used S1, just from videos I saw I'd guess to setup two audio tracks (carrier and modulator), send them to a bus, and apply the vocoder as an insert fx to that bus. The carrier should be panned hard left, the modulator hard right. Hope you can get it working!

Yeah, thanks for sharing Alien...I was in a bad mood. Your song put an end to it.
    It's very nice.
The vocoding of your voice (is it your voice ?) is well done.
It is dense indeed but it fits well.
    4m58s well spent. Cheers !

    Thanks @Talmi :like:

It is my voice under the vocoder sound and I'm glad you feel you didn't waste your 5 minutes as your mood improved.

Yes, sure my style suits the vocoder better than others, especially using your example, but I still think for people uncomfortable with the sound of their natural voice it's a bit better than playing a track to someone and saying 'this is where the vocals start' etc...
But I do take your point :like:
