I have an Impulse II by Peavey monitor speaker waiting for some action...

How could I use it?
Which amp would you use?
Is there some small form-factor amp that can do the job? (like a guitar pedal)
Can I use it without amp?

It's a stage monitor, or at least looks like one. I've never seen a passive monitor with a level control before. You'd most likely use it for live shows, and take a 1/4" monitor cable from FOH. I definitely wouldn't recommend using it with any kind of guitar amp (a 200 watt rackmount monitor amp would work, but it's not really designed to be used as a studio monitor).

 

Stage monitor for live shows. Needs a power amp. Not much good for anything else. Piezo tweeter. I wouldn't waste money for an amplifier for this. Similar things now that are self powered and sound better.

 

Like the other's have said, it's a stage/live monitor. Not a dedicated guitar cabinet.
If you want something to play guitar through, then Invest in a dedicated guitar cabinet (1x12", 2x12" or 4x12" or similar) and a guitar amp. Or a combo.

44W in that pedal?! Damn. Just don't plug it into another pedal.
Yes, you can use it for the monitor. But I can't garantee you will get the sound that you might want.
