    HBD!

I also agree that renting is a bad idea. Don't encourage this trend, it will create a drastic situation for the entire creative community if it becomes the standard. It is extremely alarming. More disturbing than the leveling off in the increase of power from the CPU manufacturers and the stripping of revenue streams by the "streaming revolution".

I think the Eiosis AIREQ Premium is the best thing to ever come out of the Fabrice Gabriel/Slate collaboration. It is a spectacular eq and very powerful and uniquely designed. It is $149, way underpriced in my opinion.

I own almost all the Slate stuff. It was money misspent. They tend to add a layer of glass and aliasing that accumulates very quickly and represent the downside of digital plugins. I audition them from time to time and always wind up removing them. They look great, but sound terrible, ultimately.

The plugins from Kush are really sonically superior in my opinion. The Electra DSP Eq is incredible and the Clariphonic DPS Mk II is something special as well. On paper they don't seem they are anything special, but try the demos and I think you will see what I am talking about. Very inspiring and a fresh way of thinking about audio processing. With your $200 budget there are several combinations of things you could get. Their Transformers plugins are also something unique and useful and a steal at $29.

I usually put coffee and saki as my two favorite warm, wet liquids. It might seem counter-intuitive for a slut, but I didn't want to put jizz ahead of you in any list. It seemed so impolite. Especially on ur birthday :D

    Enjoy this day.
    Then the next.
    And so on.

Almost forgot. I think you should spend some free time running a guitar line through those demos on the Acustica site. You might fall in love with one or three of them.

If it were me, I would go with Verbsuite. The major justification, for me, would be longevity. The songs and tracks that I whip up in a couple of days are sufficient to hit the mark on specific jobs but the really good projects on my personal machine have been brewing there for more than a year. I don't fancy the idea of funding my hoarding obsessions with real cash, so the old Scrooge in me would go for the one-off payment deal.

  6. Большое спасибо

Thanks a lot for the birthday greeting. I feel the same way concerning the renting of just about anything including software. I really only included it because my sister Julia was pushing the idea on me. It would never be an option that I or any of us would actually entertain and is reflected in the tally. It was in retrospect a bit silly to have put it up as an option. And about the the Slate plug-ins in general, I have not ever auditioned them and am glad that you gave me the wink on the accumulative residue, the buildup and aliasing. They certainly look great and Slate is one hell of a salesman, but I always feel that he is trying to hypnotize me into believing the plugs sound better than what I am hearing. Thanks for shaking me out of it.
That is why I love you and also why you are my favorite slut. You warm the cockles of my heart.

And finally, thank you Brother Pinkman, that is tied with the nicest thing I have been told all week!

Happiest birthday and many more happy returns of the day :)

Very nice suggestions already. I haven't demoed Verbsuite, but Slate is using Liquidsonic Reverberate engine and Fusion IR's. If you buy Verbsuite you won't have anything left to spend. But if you are interested in a convolution reverb plugin, get Reverberate itself for $110 plus add $10 more to get Amethyst 2 for $99.

Alternatively for $129 you can get SAND FAB4 preorder.

  8. Thanks for the good ideas to ponder over, this old boy is grateful for your friendship.

    Grapefruit awareness month.
In the citrus fields the lonely grapefruit are screaming. Tethered to their trees like prisoners on a chain gang. To us less knowing it is just the harvest season. But for them, it is the holocaust.

Lol, just kidding. Another user commented on SLS's sporty shades and next thing you know Audiosexual humor took over......

Happy Birthday! Sorry I'm not much use when It comes to software. I'm the sort of person who would loook for something less mainstream in the hardware dpt.

  12. Thanks Dude, and let's hope that for all of us!

Thanks a mil, The Teknomage. Both those two are mean machines, and if I was focusing on my guitar rig, Ram The Manparts would definitely find a place on the floor and under my right foot. Afterlife does some crazy shit when cranking the oscillators like nothing else and makes this "I might be dreamming, but then again maybe I'm not" kind of effect, sort of like a chord just waiting to resolve, come back to the dominant thing, I am floating in thin air thing.. Thanks for the ideas.

  14. @Seedz .. The door is always open for you no matter how late you come. The nice chai tea that Beth made is almost gone, but all that yummy ginger floating at the bottom makes it potent medicine. Here, please have the last cup.

yes I noticed when you stepped into the corridors of power you wanted to look businesslike and professional......of course it's sometimes very sunny in Washington so I'm glad to see you kept your shades for future use and keep them on your person at all times :winker:
