Change the Articulation. On Sustain the release is not as apparent.

oh I see, thank you Jessie. So what should I do if I want "flowing" sustain strings with almost infinite release?

Go into your Instrument Editor (wrench icon)
    Select Group Editor.
Find the sample you want to adjust the release time for or select Edit All Groups to adjust for all samples.
Expand Modulation at the very bottom.
Turn the Release knob to max.

With Symphony Strings Ensemble, you'll see 2 different envelopes in the Modulation section.
Increase the release on the top one.

you are amazing, thank you, I'm such a Kontakt noob, but I think it should be easier to do nevertheless...

I see you know way more than me about this plugin, I have one more riddle that is bothering me. As you know, there are 2 versions of this library, "Symphony Series String Ensemble" and "Symphony Essentials String Ensemble". Series library is quite big and loading time is killing me so I got this Essentials lib which sounds the same and is much smaller BUT there is missing legato/glide/portamento thing which I really care about (one of the reasons it's cheaper probably).
Is there any way I could recreate glide/legato thingie in Essentials? Or would it sound shit and artificial compared to the Series library (which I think has it "prerecorded" so glides sound natural)?

    thanks once again
