hes refering to 76 compressor style. p.s. wierd track you have there! ...and I like it! usually I don't have chance to listen something like that so I won't coment on technicalities, but what intrigues me the most is the harmony of cacophony (didn't know how to explain that without paradox )! 76 compressor style as in? Cacophony? no, no I don't think this was the intention. Tomorrow I ll upload the instrumental, I dont think there are people interested in, but just to show that although there are layers of sounds, l tried to give them space to get a degree of logical development, even if there are few events going on, they are sequencial not simultaneous and the key is respected and sounds are not that unpitched. I m starting to see in this a sort of experiment that goes beyond my creative experimentation, this is an experiment on what people would find when exposed to something that pretends to convey stuff following half swallow conventions and under kind of free criteria.I kind of like tofind myself in this position. Sorry Rolma, me being lazy. One of these... The 1176 compressor that everybody does an emulation of these days. Most people use it on drums, but it can take a weak voice and turn it into kate Bush. I don't think you're a Leona or an Adele, but you got a better voice than you think you have. Needs bravery and work.
Okey-dokey! And thank you for your encouragement to explore further my voice. For compressing the individual takes I used the inbuilt logic compressor after give a try NI V76, then in the output yes then I used the V76. I was comfortable with the inbuilt one, even knowing that there are far better options out there. I kept the signal pretty quiet since the levels of the entire mix were very conservative. For me loudness is sort of a phenomenon that I enjoy to experiment with.My approach has changed a lot along the several tracks I made.
Sorry for the late reply..... I like it! I remember your songs from years ago. They were a lot more experimental. This is refreshingly different, you have developed a style and a groove. This mix sounds good to me, but like you, I am far from a professional. Good to see another familiar face around here.
Well, as you put it in the chatroom, I m about to take your advice on the proper drop™, as far as will be able to in my next track .... that was very cool.
I've not heard your stuff before. Very eclectic, I like it. What I like most is it's refreshingly different, and it's 100% you. Mix wise I think you could boost some low end. But it all fits together and the balance apart from the subs is spot on.
