Sorry to inform you but there is only video playback support as most daw's have, so you can track some background music and sound effects, adjust the main sound track.

Have you read the manual? Do you have quick time installed??? Is the Video option enabled in the advance setting??? Have you bothered to drag in the supported video file into it???

Well.. You could click on [view] in the menu and then [video player] and then click on the [+] button to load a video.

    or..

You could just drag a video file and drop it into the arrange window.

But understand that video handling in S1 is rudimentary.

It's a nice little program with much to commend it. I like it a lot.

But in some areas, it is... In the early stages of development. Your video may play. It may not.

Yes. The manual (page 257) states that it is "Studio One Professional has a built-in video player that enables you to score to picture by syncing Song and video playback. The following chapter describes how to use this video player in detail."

Sorry man... that would be cool tho.

    How odd.

I think Studio One uses Quick Time to handle video. I might be worth making sure you have quicktime.

But even switching off QT in preferences doesn't make the menu item disappear.

Have you tried dragging in a video file?

    Both methods work fine here.

EDIT: Are you running 64 bit? QT may not work with 64 bit. I seem to remember. Or perhaps I dreamt it. Just clutching at straws here... But my guess is you are running s1 in 64 and there's no 64 bit qt.

EDIT: a bit of brief research tells me that s1 64 doesn't or at least didn't have video support. I don't have 64 bit running here DiM so I can't be of more help. Sorry.

Maybe Cubase or Soundforge would fit your needs better.
