No wonder why Kurzweil is one of the top ones.

Yep, and from the words of that excellent Keyboard Player :

"My rendition to this awesome EVH solo with 'Kurzweil PC3K7' + 'KORE 64' + 'Program #3339 RAW and BLEEDIN' "

We can only guess that some FXs have been added to the used Preset of the 'Kurzweil PC3K7' thanks to the 'NI KORE 64'...
Thanks to you 'Von_Steyr' for this minute of pure delirium ! :shalom::guitarhero:

P.S: For those that want to try the same (or practice it), here you have the 'Backing Track' (without the solo) which last ~ 1 min.

Good old times when pop music was actually cool!
When you actually waited for the EVH guitar solo :)

Maybe... by using one of the 'Electric Guitar VSTi (Instrument)' available nowadays (adding the adequate FXs settings).

  ...and prior of that, the non less famous 'cajon (or similar) shots' to announce that 'Fireworks Guitar Solo'.

For the anecdote, these famous 'shots' have been placed (registered) at this crucial moment to warn 'Eddie' that he could start his (legendary) Solo !!!

I want a time machine so I can go back. Today's music industry makes everyone believe playing real instruments is some kind of godly skill. I tell people the instruments I play & they look at me like I have 9 heads & 12 dicks sprouting out of my chest. Truth is, I know people who play as many instruments as I do (13 instruments, as we speak). Back in the day it took more than some pretty boys to get famous in music. It took talent & most of all MUSICIANSHIP!!! Nowadays all those retarded bands like One Direction & Fifth Harmony are only famous because the dumbass 8 year olds make them famous. They didn't deserve it, trust me, because they don't play music. If I wanna watch a bunch of stupid millennials sing & shove inflatable dicks in their mouths, I'll go to a bar on karaoke night. Until I go to a bar on karaoke night, I don't wanna hear that garbage. But it is kind of fun hitting the mute button on their music videos & "meat-beating" to the girls dancing, isn't it? I mean, as long as they're ripe. Otherwise you got problems. :winker:

The youth of today wants instant knowledge, instant success.
Hell, even as a teen in the 90s,most of my friends and colleagues didnt bother much about actually sticking to something, practicing, not just music, anything.

    Wow really nice samples sounds.
Now you non guitars players try and do that on a real guitar and get that sound. It's not as easy as playing a plastic key.
The video is really kool and no offense to anyone. just reminds me of when musicians were real musicians.

EVH was totally awesome on the Axe and that lead was one of his best and he did it for free.

I just see numbers (a lot of numbers) and although I understand that they somehow refer to the strings, I have to say that lead guitarists are strange people. Can't you just use the well known notation (like in note), all other musicians use? :bleh:

... hence todays absence of true virtuosos in the mainstream pop & dance 'scene'.
I've sacrificed most of my youth and younger days to practice of my instruments, 8, 10 hrs. a day, every day. I've never had much of a social life because of it, still don't. But; best investment I ever made.

The Guy may be an "excellent keyboard player" or even a "virtuoso", but in that video I see nothing that an average keyboard player couldn't achieve with a little bit of practice. "Live keyboard player", of course, not "DAW composer inputing notes via keyboard". I like the sound anyway, reminds me on a synthetic lead guitar patch on my beloved ASR-10, that reacted on every nuance of velocity, touch, mod and Pitch wheel and made heavy use of the build-in FX.

The Kore 64 he is refering to here is a hardware board upgrade for the Kurzweil Keyboard itself.
(I know I never commented here, but I "listen") ;)
