if there`s one software instrument..where I can`t keep track of which versions work where and when.?....with which expansions..?

I know there`s a few scene versions..
but I`ve gotten confused over the years as to whats what
any relatively concise rundown... by someone in-the-know...would be gratefully appreciated
or perhaps this has already been discussed and someone can refer my lazy self
to an existing thread..

The only versions around for free are the 1.4.1 mac release by Team Dynamics & the 2.2 windows release by Team AiR. The Guitars, Perpetual motion, House vol 1, Dance vol 1, Piano, Stratosphere vol 1, & Dance orchestra, bigtone vol 1, Hardstyle, Crank, Christmas vol 1 expansions work with the 1.4.1 releases & upwards to the 2.2. The v2 that work with 2.2 are Bigtone signature vol 1 & 2, Dance vol 2 & 3, Vintage drumkits (discontinued), House vol 2, and a few others. Basically any expansion newer than the first Future Arps expansion requires something around version 2.3.2, which in this case you'll just have to buy Nexus2 along with the expansions you want, if you wanna use them newer expansions.

 

Yup, got the old AiR release working with all the available expansions up to that release, jbridged to x64. Dont ever use it, but its there just in case

 

Anybody have an idea on how to install version 1.4.1 by Team Dynamics alongside a legit 2.7.x on Mac ?

I wanna use expansions that are compatible with Team Dynamics version but don't wanna fuck up my elicenser thingy.

No but seriously, i don't want to overwrite Nexus 2 so i'm looking for a useful advice

 

Rename your existing nexus 2 folder to Nexus2. Then install this team dynamics one so it doesn't overwrite your Nexus2 presets. When you install Nexus1, it should just appear as "Nexus" in your DAW. But your Nexus 2 will probably show up as "Nexus 2". It does for me in Logic Pro X. Just rename the Nexus Content folder to "Nexus2 content folder"

It depends on how it's named. If it's named "Nexus" then yet, put the "2" at the end.

 

Out of curiosity, why would you need 1.4.1 if you already have the newer version?

Aren't the presets all covered in 2.2 ?

No you still need to buy all the expansions listed by @Impressive minus a few ones.

 

@Impressive From what i tried so far: version 2 AU doesn't show up when renamed, VST still working after renaming. I'm downloading version 1.4.1 to try and see what if i can get both running without issues. Since i'm not the only one interested in this topic, i'll keep y'all updated

 

Okay so the whole thing fucked up my legit install. Not working

 

Wish some one could work on nexus so it no longer use master key. That way folks could share and exchange expansions as before.
