I have seen most of.the bands listed, a few.a.bunch of times. There are so many great bands that of course are not listed so I will add some of those that I have seen that were so incredibly amazing that it is seemed almost impossible that such mastery of performance could happen, and I am soooo very fortunate that I could have been a witness to such greatness. I will jot them down in no particulate order.
The Clash, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Alice Cooper, Frank Zappa, The Beach Boys, Ron Carter, The Grateful Dead, Elvis Costello and The Attractions, and many many many more. Music is a joyful affirmation of life, live music explicitly so.

I was 5 when the Beatles came to New York to do their famous Shea Stadium concert which was nearish to the neighborhood to where we lived. It was a big deal and people around me were playing their music and talking a lot about them. What I think.is absolutely hysterical is that my 5 year old perception of them is of four black haired guys in suits and ties singing and smiling as they danced while pushing a hotdog stand down Yellowstone Blvd. in Forest Hills. I also thought that Jet quartback great Joe Nameth was the first woman to play pro foorball..I thought his name to be Joan Ameth.

best live band i ever saw was depeche mode at the world violation tour in munich, 1999.. and that was one of the best moments in my entire life!

 

3rd place would be Depeche Mode for me,awesome band.
