I once had 2 rabbits (some years ago) - a brown one and a black one:

and they were running in my little garden all day long but on one day a hedgehog found a little hole in my fence and
took a visit - was something new for the rabbits.

Here are photos of my four kitty-kats. The first are of Jasmin and her partner-in-crime, Sydnie. As you can see by their birth and death dates, they lived for a pretty long time, and both departed (after long bouts with kidney disease). Ironically, they passed within days of each other. We'll always miss them. Thank goodness for memories...

Here are Abby and Phoebe. Two rescue kitties that we took in about two years after Jasmin and Sydnie passed on. In many ways, these two are polar opposites of our previous girls. They are certainly not into "lap-sitting". Oh no, not those two. <lol>

Love 'em all! I'm a walking contradiction, as I love both cats AND dogs, And, we have had the good fortune to have had both species in our lives.

Tiger Lily died on August 9th, 2014 & Buddy The 1st passed away on April 27th, 2013. I would do literally anything to have them back. They were very nice animals. Same with the others who passed away. Words cannot explain how much I loved those animals. Especially when I was a kid. When I was a kid I didn't have classmates to play with after school or anything. I went to school, did my schoolwork & then came home, went outside to the beach & played by myself. But these pets were that one exception. I'd play with them all the time. They filled in as friends when I didn't have any. Even when I did have friends, they stuck around. That's what I love about cats & dogs. Their love is unconditional. They don't care about the color of your skin, what you believe in, your political affiliation, the size of your wallet, the shape of your body, your gender, what you possess, your sexuality, your differences & flaws, your appearance, etc. If you love them, they will love you back. Which is the polar opposite of what I can say about most humans I've met in person. I am forever grateful for the ones I still have & the ones I no longer have. Pets are the sweetest thing & they're just so chill. Could you imagine our cats/dogs discriminating against each other for the color of their fur or by their markings? Not a ton of cats/dogs could ever bond, I'd say. They don't have racism, nor do they know what it is. I like that & it makes me love animals more. :winker:

Well said, and a heartfelt message to every pet lover out there. My sentiments echo yours completely. I find people that love our four-legged friends tend to be more open and honest. I just got in, so it's time to feed my "girls" the last meal of the day (and, change their litter). <lol>

  17. Bonerchuck will be the name of my new band and the album entitled Chucking Bones.

Edit: Or Chucklebone or Chuckling Bones or The Bone Chuckles or Chucking Bones.

Anybody want to be in the band?

  18. Hedgehogs are nocturnal animals. If this one was wandering in the daytime it was stressed out something serious.

When and where are the auditions? :)

...but are we talking Bonerchuck definition as:

    i: stupid mistake
    ii: male erection
iii: a low-grade farm animal, with meat only suitable for use in sausages or other processed products

....that may make a difference, unless I'm lead vocal and dress very rock chick seductive )

and what about 'Bonerchuck & The Coccyx Bruisers' ?

  20. That, my dear is what I'm talking about. The seed of an idea, and from that tiny kernel sprouts the wonderment of possibilities searching for expression. If kept within the sphere of context, let us agree to disregard the last 2/3rds of the offered definitions as to keep it historical as well as biographical. It is my sorry story in a nutshell.

Question: Can a band still be merry if a tree falls in Sherwood Forest and Maid Marion is if front of her monitor watching timeliness endlessly shift from left to right?

Anyway, the first photo is of excited concert goers waiting outside of my Superliquidsunshine's Vocal and Harmonica Benefit For The Utter Impared, while the second is of my press secretary, Marley Bones informing me of the standing room only filled pasture/auditorium.
