    Guys,
maybe you could help me out this time. Trying to install the Waves 2016 R2R release on a fresh Win10/Ableton 9.32 system for testing.

I followed all them instructions described here:

    1) Once the .ISO is mounted, drag & drop the Waves folder to either:
    C:\Program Files\ or C:\Program Files(x86)\
    Execute Install_Waves_Here.exe.

    2) Drag & drop the WPAPI folder to either:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\ or C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\
    Execute Install_WPAPI_Here.exe.

    3) In the Waves folder that you've dragged over previously, locate WaveShells V9 and copy the plug-ins to their respective directories.

    4) You will now need to show your hidden folders in Windows. If you don't know how to do so, please do a quick Google search - it's easy. Once that's done, go to C:\ProgramData\, in the .ISO file, drag and drop the Waves Audio folder there.

    5) In the Waves Audio folder, run Show_Me_Devices. It should show you your Device ID & type. Pay attention to the type as you will have to associate it with the Keygen.

    6) Run the Keygen. Use any name, select your type, type in your Device ID, Generate. It then prompts you with where you would like to save the license file. Point it to and save the license to the Licenses folder in C:\ProgramData\Waves Audio.

All ok then, but when I let Ableton scan for new plugins, Waves prompts for folder location:

I cannot figure the hell out what to point to here, no matter what folder I chose Wave does not accept it.

I put both the WaveShell-VST 9.6.dll and WaveShell-VST 9.7.dll into the folder VST/Waves where all my VSTs reside.

Any hints what I could do?

    @ Dokx1,

At a first glance, you can use 'shell2vst' (this one is the '32bit' version), to create 'Waveshellized' Versions of all the desired 'Waves' Plugins which have been installed in your System when you have done the Installation of 'Waves Complete 2016 by R2R'.

Personnally, I created a specific Folder named 'Waves' that I put alongside the other 'Folders/Plugins' which are installed within my 'Program Files (x86)' --> 'VstPlugins' : <-- here.
You can launch the 'Waveshellization' process and indicate that newly created Folder, then when completed, you should find all these 'Waveshellized' Plugins inside that Folder.
If for some reasons all these 'Waveshellized' Plugins end rather in your (usual) 'VstPlugins' Folder instead, simply select these, then 'cut/paste' all these Plugins within that newly created Folder.

Then I can suppose that when : "Ableton scan for new plugins, Waves prompts for folder location.", simply point to that newly created 'Waves' Folder, and the scanning process of your 'Ableton' DAW should be able to scan and validate all these 'Waves' Plugins...

Thanks for the help, I don't know what the problem is.

If I drag the WaveShell-VST 9.6.dll or WaveShell-VST 9.7.dll onto the "shell2vst" the same window described above appears, no matter what I do Waves won't accept any folder whatsoever. Really lost here...

Or am I using wrong files?

    Not clear what that means:

    3) In the Waves folder that you've dragged over previously, locate WaveShells V9 and copy the plug-ins to their respective directories.

What "WaveShells V9", which "plug-ins" and what is meant by "respective directories"?

    Hello dokx1 !

I can't see the picture of your post (bad internet connection), but this is what to do if Waves show you the "select plugins folder" message :
When Waves asks for the folder, just navigate to the Waves installation folder, then Plugins v9 folder, and click on "select folder" when you're inside.

I tried that, and now I have the next problem:

    "No valid Waves licences found".

I tried half a dozen times to generate the licence, put it into to the Licenses folder in C:\ProgramData\Waves Audio.

Still no luck. What the hell is wrong here? Maybe a Windows 10 problem?

Or a problem with Ableton Live 32bit?

Very confused, such a thing never happened to me with R2R in six years... :(

    @ Dokx1,

At this moment, the only thing that I can do for you is to provide you my 'Waveshellized' Plugins (32bit) and its corresponding 'WaveShell-VST 9.3.dll'.
Unfortunately, it's not the 'last-in-date' release of 'Team R2R', nevertheless it's a rather recent version of 'Waves Complete Bundle'.

Inside the '.rar' archive, you'll find that 'WaveShell-VST 9.3.dll' to put (copy) in any mandatory locations :

    * ...\Program Files (x86)\VstPlugins\... <-- here
    * ...\Program Files (x86)\Waves\... <-- here

:excl: By cons, don't forget to make a 'backup' of your already installed 'WaveShell-VST 9.xxx.dll' just in case you'll find a work around soon, then be able to revert your most recent 'WaveShell-VST 9.xxx.dll' without the hassle to need to re-install your 'Waves Complete 2016' !!! :excl:

as well as a 'Waves' Folder (to put/copy) inside your ...\Program Files (x86)\VstPlugins\... <--
    which contains 429 'Waveshellized' Plugins.
And my suggestion is to point that 'Waves' Folder when your 'Ableton LIVE' will ask you for a location to be able to scan for new Plugins...

    http://www.solidfiles.com/v/NG4wgZyyvBaqq
(Use the 'Direct download link' instead of 'Download file')

This way you can perhaps find if the problem comes rather from troubles with your 'Waves Plugins', or directly from your (new) 'Windows 10' Version.

Good Luck to you ! :winker:

Your license isn't at the right place.
    It should be here : C:\ProgramData\Waves Audio\Licenses

That works, didn't know why I missed that. Thanks for pointing out!

Thanks so much, I placed that in my Waves folder and know Ableton has found them!

No, the licence was placed right, but I didn't use the right capitals for the code - didn't expect that to be case sensitive...

There was another file path I didn't find:

Do you know what to do here?
