    Hi everyone,

I'm searching for a drumloop often used by "Panacea" or "The Panacea" in his early years.
You can hear it here from the start to 1:40min and all throughout the whole song underlaying the main drums.
He also used it on many other tracks across his albums/singles. Sometimes the full loop and sometimes only chops of it.
It sounds like it should be a classic drumloop (edited, pitched, compressed, slightly distorted etc.) but i don't recognize it or find it on any standard D&B sampling CD/library.
Maybe someone can get me a hint to it's name and where to find it.

    THX in advance.

P.S. Hopefully this thread is in the right section.

Here's another track which features this particular drumloop from 1:27min to the end:

And another one that has a similar sounding main drumloop:

Just another track...the main kick+snare arte from the drumloop i'm searching for...again from Ed Rush:

    Does any know this drumloop?

You may find that it was never a commercially released drum loop. A lot of bands/ producers will create their own, and have a favourite, which they use in a lot of their tracks. They make make variations based on that one loop. This will give them a signature sound. Take a band like the Prodigy for instance. Their drums always have this particular sound and structure, which although differ from track to track, are recognisable as them.
I would suggest that you make a bunch of your own, and do the same thing.

I think its called the "Pulp Fiction" beat...

The teknomage doesn't know Dnb does he? :D

Dnb has many, many "standards..." that everyone takes their turn with.

I believe it's the Pulp fiction beat which can be found here... along with alllll the other classic beats found on the planet earth :D... and the original record they are from.

    junglebreaks.co.uk

EDIT: nope...your beat?.. it's called "the flow."

Here is the bare bones loop...

    right-click and download.

    flow.wav

EDIT2: nah i was right... Pulp Fiction is an another name for it. :D

Thanks for the solving my "riddle" dim_triad....:wink::wink:

Btw...yesterday evening i also found the loop myself on a Sample CD i almost forgot..."AMG 260DB - The Drum & Bass Interface"
I have this jewel as a Refill package for Propellerheads Reason only, which might explain why i have overseen this collection (i don't use Reason this much anymore...hehe).

It feels really good to have solved this mystery.
I was just at the point to ask the artists, who used this loop, where they got it from etc...:):):)

You're absolutely 100 percent correct. I haven't really listened really listened to any since the late 90's and my clubbing days.
This is why I used the phrase " It may not have been". Good that you came in to correct that.
Glad that you got the answer you were looking for, as I know how frustrating that can be.

I know EXACTLY what you mean... I was going to try and contact Dom & Roland (which, is really a guy)... and ask him about a drum loop too :D

I can't recall what the heck beat it was... I found it all on that Jungle breaks.co.uk site though... that's the originals right there.

Whatever refill you are talking about.. I am sure you are right... many of these original funk songs no longer have the rights to their own tracks (or something like that), and so any company is free to use those original recording on their own sample sets that they release.

If you want the 3 ABSOLUTE main sample cd's that like every one started with (and continue to be original sources today)...

then you need Zero-G's Jungle Warfare Volumes 1-3.

End of story... end of search, no need for another dnb sample pack ever again for the rest of eternity, and then some... times 10,000

    :D
