I was really wondering what kind of cases(towers) people here use, maybe learn something new and see the more recent development of towers.

Corsair 780t, loads of space, great airflow, loads of space for expansion, removable mesh filters for easy cleaning. Might not be the best for quietness, but i also game and want a powerful GPU. I know there are some cases that are better for quietness but it more the fulfills my needs and tbh its still pretty quiet anyway. Theres also ample space for noise insulation so in the future i could add to my case in the future too which is good.

It's a good question. Especially on an audio forum.

My case really is nothing special but it's something I have thought about a lot. The cooling too. What I have been especially interested in is either an affordable or DIY solution for a noiseless case.

Perhaps some people have done some internal soundproofing and have their own solutions? I too would love to see what people have done with this.

fractal design define r5. It's a piece of beauty!

    IMG_2124.JPG

Well, the define r5 is pretty much noiseless. It's padded and all the cages and fans are decoupled. Plus, I use a fanless psu and gpu, the cpu fan is inaudible and the case fans almost. It's not 100% noiseless but you'll have to listen very carefully. It's so silent I can record in the same room. Good enough for me

Altough weighing almost 11 kg, I don't think it's steel.

LOVE my Beast, Best thing I have ever bought.. well, actually I didn't, a client paid for it.

best thing I ever HAD.. I guess.. :hillbilly:

The front quick swap drive bay and ultimately configurable case were what finally pushed me to choose the Genesis Pro.

SO fast, SO quiet, SO pretty..:thanks:

Their 24/7 (American) Customer service has been top notch too.

I have different Cases for my own build machines (Renderfarm, Workstation, Game-Machine, Video-Editing & Musik making). I also have the "Fractal Design R5" Case and the fine "Corsair Carbid" Case.

I recently built a new computer. The case is an "In Win 805". Great price, great looks, super quiet. Only the top and bottom panels are made of brushed metal, the rest of the panels are glass. The CPU has liquid cooling. Sometimes I forget it is on, because I was so used to the old fan cooling computer I had.

Got 3 in front, 1 in back, and 4 on the watercoolers, i started off with more and gradually removed a few as i got used to what temps everything would get to.
    Nice balance between temp/noise now.
With room aircon turned on, it's pretty much silent.
